Ubon that new Thai food restaurant I’ve previously posted about is finally opening it’s doors this coming Saturday. They’re going to be open from 6 to 11pm for now since they’re starting but later on they’ll be opening up for lunch as well. A friend of mine just posted about a new Mexican restaurant that opened up in The Village. Going by the pictures and write up it looks like the place is actually pretty good. Check out his post [Here]

I had dinner at Johnny Rockets last night and found out that they had updated their menu with some new items. They even added a little side-menu for all the different variations of soda you can get, including some strange combinations like Coca-Cola & Chocolate.

According to the blog 965Malls, the international french fries chain New York Fries is opening up at Marina Mall. New York Fries shouldn’t be confused with the already open New York Friez who tried to convince me poutine was made with chili and cheese and not gravy and cheese. Hopefully these guys will be able to do it right.

Back in 2009 Bait 7 closed down because of a fire and then stayed closed since the 1st Ring Road construction was taking place right in front of them. Now that the construction in front of them has been completed the place got fixed up and is now open again. The place also has a new owner but according to the manager they’ve kept the same feel and look with just a few adjustment to the menu. I don’t have their contact number or website link but they’re located in Kuwait City behind the church and if you’re planning to go there you need to park in the Starbucks lot and then follow the “7″ sign.

I posted this picture on instagram and it got a lot of interest so I figured I post it here with more details. The picture above is of the new Double Cheese Burger at Little Ruby’s. Unlike their other burgers this one uses a regular bun and the patty is a different blend as well. I thought it was pretty good, I’d have a difficult time choosing between this burger and my other favorite their Bronte burger. It’s also the cheapest burger on their menu, I think it was KD3.1 and includes their awesome fries. Speaking of prices, they’ve gone ahead and increased their prices once again for some reason. I hate it when restaurants do that.

Arabian Business released their list of “The Middle East’s top 10 restaurants to sample in 2012” and Cucina, the Italian restaurant located at Hotel Missoni made their cut. I have yet to try Cucina so it’s now on my to do list. Here is a link to their top 10 list [Link]

I just found out from my Alshaya contact that Potbelly in the Avenues will be opening up next week on January 10th. It would be the first Potbelly branch to open up in Kuwait.

Prime Cuts revamped their website recently and I think it looks a lot better than their older one. In case you didn’t know, they’re a supplier of various gourmet products with their main focus on high quality beef cuts from around the world. They have a physical store in Salmiya which I have yet to check out but you can order from their website and they’ll deliver. Here is the [Link]

Booze Boozz I guess is a new wannabee alcohol but not alcohol drink which is odd in itself but whats even more odd is the striking resemblance to its main competitor, Freez.
