Super Duper Glue

Posted by Nat

I got my 12-inch PowerBook 5 years ago right after they first came out. Since my PowerBook was an early release it had an issue and it had to do with the rubber feet. They kept falling off until finally I ended up having none left. The later models had this issue fixed but that didn’t mean much to me since I was still left with no rubber feet. Recently I got a pack of rubber feet from Ace Hardware and glued them on the bottom of my PowerBook using Super Glue. The rubber feet worked for awhile and then also started falling off most probably because of the PowerBooks heat. Now not only do I not have any rubber feet but I now have Mark’s clumsy super glue job staining the bottom of my PowerBook.

So I was researching now on how to remove the super glue stains and I found an interesting and easy solution. Although Super Glue is incredibly strong, it still has a major weakness: Acetone, which household products such as nail polish remover contain. I also came upon some interesting advice on what to do in case you accidently super glue some of your body parts together. Click the link if you want to read more on this. [Link]

Two of my favorite blogs are tech blogs, Gizmodo and Engadget. The problem with both of these blogs is most of the items they post about our too expensive to purchase. This is why I am going to start checking this new blog called Cheap and Tiny. Its a blog about tiny gadgets that won’t break the bank, check it out. [Link]
