Two Lost Dogs

*I just updated this post with another dog that went missing yesterday*

I got this from a reader, if anyone spots the dog please call them:

This is Papsy (Breed:German Spitz with a red and black harness). My parents were strolling with her by Marina Mall today 8 and were attacked by two big without a leash-on dogs. My mom fell (fractured her right arm) and let loose her leash by mistake. The two dogs chased and scared Papsy away. My parents have been searching for her frantically all day by Marina Mall area. There are still there. Please help us find her. if you have any information, please call us on 99575828 or 25632613.

I got the following email today:

Our dog is lost in Jabriya. His name is Snowy and he is a Maltese male around 5 yrs old. He had no leash on him when he escaped from our house accidently. Please contact me on the following numbers 99871650 or 66695462. I’m offering a KD150 reward to anyone that finds him.

Update: Snowy was found.

  1. Well i hope he is with a good hand. Probably who found him want to keep him since he is super cute dog,, but of course it’s called stealing if the guy/girl didn’t return it back to his original owners. i hope that he/she will be a good person and return it.

I think I saw Snowwy in our street (Surra block 4 st8). When I saw it couple of days ago it was weird cuz I’ve never seen a dog running around like that alone. As far as I’m aware none of our neighbors has any dog.

  8. Spiderguy252 says:

I hope that the dog is found soon.

Thanks all for your kind words and support. I hope 3azeez input leads to finding snowy. We have had no such luck with Papsy yet. We have been canvasing that area all day, have setup flyers at sultan center, marina mall and neighbouring areas..and heart breakingly even free markets. I have informed all the animal clinics and shelter with electronic presence. We have setup ads in english and arabic newspapers that will start tomorrow. Is there any thing else I can do to get Papsy home soon?

Sadly, you should go to the friday market over the next few days also to check there……it is heartbreaking but you may be lucky and find your dogs, I have heard that people have found missing pets there! Good luck.

Hey, we saw papsy, in the first picture crossing the road in front of us by Marina Friday morning at around 9:40 to 10:10 am while we were on the bikes.. all traffic came to a halt so we wont hit the dog, sorry but we didn’t stop to get him.. I now wish we did..

  13. Swati says:

Thanks a lot for the tip Marzouq. I really appreciate any and every help at this time. I was hoping u could give me more information maybe the street/area u think u saw her headed towards and we will make sure we canvas that area as well. Also if u happen to bike in that neighbourhood and happen to see her, could u give us a call at 99575828. This means a lot to us. Thanks again.

  15. Swati says:

I am so glad Snowy is back home safe….Now we wait for a similar fate for papsy.
Thank u zz for the advice. My folks paid a visit to friday market yesterday and got their hope high when they saw a dog just like papsy but it wasn’t her. They put flyers up and dropped the info to a filipino lady who works there. We are planning to go next week too but hopefully we will find her before. English and arabic newspaper have started posting our ads today. We want her back and will reward the finder on her safe return.

  16. Marzouq says:

Swati.. it was at the intersection just before Marina Cresent entrance. Marina waves was on our right, papsy walked right into the intersection and and continued heading towards the intersecting road.. as if walking straight into Qatar street.. but towards Marina Mall a little..

sorry but thats all I know, I remember the dog from the picture because papsy is a cute dog

  17. Swati says:

Thanks marzouq. Yours is the only news/tip we got so far. Otherwise nothing. Thanks for passing this along. We canvased that area this evening, calling out her name but nothing. We are still looking for her.

  18. Mark says:

put up some posters in the neighborhood there

  19. Beachgalq8 says:

Swati, I hope u find Papsy soon. Best wishes for a happy ending. If I am in that area, I will look for her and give u a call. Why r there such big dogs running loose over there?! That must have scared ur parents and poor Papsy. Hope ur mom’s arm is better.

  20. Swati says:

Mark, we are putting these flyers(http://picasaweb.google.com/EmailSwati/Papsy#5425213818530665362) up in the neighborhood.

Beachgalq8, I hope so too and wonder about leash less dogs myself at times. My mom is trying to rest her arm and is doing better. She will feel much better once papsy is home safe.

Beachgalq8, Thank you for watching out for papsy. I wonder about leashless dogs myself sometimes. My mother is doing well and am sure she is going to forget all the pain once she sees papsy.

We haven’t found Papsy yet but are hopeful that we will find her soon. We have gotten calls from lots of people that saw her cross gulf road after the two big dogs scared her away. Thank you for those calls . It gives us an assurance that she is fine. We are eagerly waiting for calls/tips of anyone who has seen her after crossing the street, while we still continue to canvas the neighbourhood , putting up flyers and ads in the newspaper.
Thank you all for your time and support so far. But until papsy is not home safe, please help us keep an eye out for her..we need your help.

My folks followed a tip which lead them to area close to where they had initially lost her, called out her name and saw this little messy thing run towards them from under the car. She is home getting a nice warm bath as I type :-)
