MacBook Air

Tomorrow is MacWorld Expo 2008 and rumors are flying on what new products Apple might release. One product thats currently circulating the rumor sites is the MacBook Air, supposedly an ultra portable MacBook that will replace the discontinued 12inch PowerBook and iBook laptops. I hope they don’t release anything new, my credit cards are maxed out as it is! [Link]

the bad thing about apple is that every time you buy an apple product it only last for around 3-6 month until they release a new version of it that totally blows it away so you need to change your device with the new one.i’m telling you they upgrade their products too fast :D specially the ipod I’m on my 3rd ipod right now and its the ipod touch who knows what they will do next! so expect anything in macworld

Man let them bring what they got, I want to get a new Mac!

7ussein actually they don’t upgrade their products too fast. Each model lasts a really long time for example the current MacBook Pro design came out back in 2003 so the model has lasted 5 years! The PowerMacs design also came out in 2003 so thats also been around for 5 years.
What they do upgrade is just the regular stuff like CPU speed, display, RAM, cd drive etc.. but the model stays pretty much the same for a really long time.

Mac > Windows.
Apple > Microsoft.
I’m on my Windows now, it’s gay, the graphics is a joke (i have GeForce 8800 Ultra).
With Mac, even pictures are clear while browsing, its not the screen. use Safari on Windows and check the difference.
I’ll try to make this down to 2 guesses:
1) A Slim Macbook with wi-fi sync and/or Pre-4G (mostly WiMAX).
2) New iPhone Firmware, i’d say 2.0 but that’s beyond craziness, but who knows, maybe Jobs will do it.

they should seriously consider releasing a decent phone i know the iphone is interesting and everything with the touch and these things but its only good to play with it for a week or a month or something but when it comes to practical use i think its a Joke the battery last for a day or something and its not even a 3G phone !!!! besides alot of disadvantages.

Well, I don’t think apple will kill its best seller (MacBook) by releasing another smaller portable thing. I think its something related to another alliance related to wireless (not wifi, edge, or 3G). I believe it is Google. Apple and others joining together for the FCC spectrum auction.

I got the 12inch power book. been waiting to see the new laptop for ages! my power book is only just keeping up at this point! Macs last much longer than Windows machines for some reason

Bo-Bader your r right its related to wireless as rumors says its going to be WiMax as Sprint in Us will roll our a nationwide wiMax coverage in April

Adam, I guess you’re right. They would probably announce any and all news on the keynote.
