The GTR is an impressive car for the price and it did beat the already existing Z06. I would prefer to compare the new ZR-1 with the upcoming GTR V-Spec. The V-Spec is already running on the ring now with alleged times of 7:15. This car will be lighter and more powerful and a better comparision against the ZR-1 and they should be launching around the same time so lets see who has it. My money is on Nissan to come up trumps with its superior chassis and technology and i would feel safer to drive the nissan to its limit rather than the corvette. That is why i have ordered a GTR and frankly cannot wait to get my hands on it in April here in the UK. Either way whichever car is faster, I feel like the GTR will empower the driver (me) with the confidence to reach its maximum capability when drivers in other cars will bottle it. (Look how hairy Scuderia or Carrera GT is at the limit even the LP640 is scary in the wet suprisingly to say it has 4 wheel drive) I'm not a pro driver and do not pretend to be. According to one post you could even call be a baby however i know that in the GTR i will be f**king quick on road and track. Only pros will have the bottle to take me on in a rear wheel drive car and i havnt come up against one yet in my exisitng R34 GTR. I also cannot wait to tune my car and get some more torque out of it as i know the chassis is ready to handle more power. (not sure about the gearbox though) At the end of the day its a personal choice and it also makes sense on my pocket in these economic hardships. If we all liked the same car there would be no other to compare against. Ok. Lets compare like for like shall we.
