There’s a huge risk if people continue to eat leftover food that hasn’t been refrigerated within an hour and even a bigger risk if it’s chinese or japanese food!

for one thing most places should take pride in the fact that they don’t ’cause food poisoning not make people sign a waiver so that their chef can add cat piss to our food ……

The letter they signed actually referred to the instruction from the Municpality that a waiver is required before underdone foof can be served.

As someone else pointed out, it is also enforced on anyone taking away food from a restaurant and it can all be traced back to a few cases of food poisoning some time earlier this year.

Anyways the manager a really decent lebanese bloke actually took the time to explain to us why he coudnt do it, but once we told him we werent like the idiot he gave as a take away box and reminded us … dont leave it in the heat and eat it later and dont blame Pizza Hut if you do ;-o)

As for holding a hotel responsible for the food served in its restaurants .. I totaly agree.. No such thing as a hotel distancing it self….. after all its their reputation on the line.. who else would you blame for bad sushi and u get sick say for example from the Sakura Rest if not the Crowne Plaza management. After all the F&B department is responsible for all the food & drink it serves to their guests living in or other wise. As for a waiver I think its over kill if you go to a reputed hotel you expect good food and service not food poisoning. One time is enough.. once word gets out that some one got food poisoning from a paticular restaurant and it is proven; then the rep of the hotel and the restaurant is tarnished. No one will want to come again.

A restaurant in a hotel and a restaurant in a mall are 02 different subjects. Any eatery in mall is responsible 100% for the food it serves and the mall management is not responsible. The mall management is only responsible to make sure they follow all governing rules and conditions which concern collection of rent which the eatery owes at the end of the month, fire codes, cleaniness, space mangement etc. What happens in the kitchen of that paticular restaurant is the responsibility of that paticular restaurant management and owner.

In case of a hotel however its different; the hotel is liable for any food and beverage its restaurants or cafes offer its guests under their roof.

That’s really messed up..I actually wouldn’t blame the restaurant, I’d blame the person who’d actually sign the waiver.
