lol, lemme share this real incident with you guys.. i live in sydney and there is this suburb called lakemba, which is full of muslims especially lebaneses.. getting halal meat here was quite a challenge around 5-10 years ago.. so there was this chinese butcher in lakemba who used to sell non-halal meat.. so being majority of muslims in that area, a muslim butcher opened a halal meat shop just opposite of this chinese butcher.. and apparently, chinese saw a quick loss in his business.. he tried to figure out what had made the new meat shop such a boom… and he noticed, he uses “HALAL” sign outside his shop.. so the chinese made a big sign of “HALAL”.. people first tried to avoid buying from him but then thought that it would be halal, as he claims… so he saw a change in his business now… meanwhile, he noticed that his pork is not being sold much.. so next day, he made a sign of “HALAL PORK”… muslims got offended and sued him… he not only lost his business and money but wrote his name in the history.. he remains and will be a joke…
and yeah guys, this is a true story!

that unveils the processing company’s fake acts ..
they surely do this for all meat products to let muslims buy it :)
in that case muslims will eat, processors will take the sin :P

Seems all the alcohol consumed by Muslims in Kuwait don’t require it to have a “halal” sticker on the side. So seems just as much point to put a halal sticker on a pork chop.
14. Mark | November 23rd, 2007 at 10:30 am

To all those Muslims who are saying “halal” only refers to meat.
You really need to study your scriptures more. Even Wikipedia would’ve helped you from making your embarrassing mistake. Halal means forbidden, includes food, clothing, drugs, alcohol, speech.

‘In Arabic-speaking countries, the term is used to describe anything permissible under Islamic law, in contrast to haraam, that which is forbidden.’
Owned using your own source, what a dumbass you are.

u are the dumbass Mohat. The point was that the meat is not what is considered only to be halal and/or haram. That what is forbiddin or allowed encompases all aspects of life including alcohol. To say that alcohol is haram is the same as to say it is not halal. This was a demonstration of the irony of the sticker on the pork but I think irony is maybe littel lost on you.

Your right, halal is not only for meat!! But it is most commonly associated with food. And to the guy regarding fish and chips, all fish is halal by default.
Salam Alaykum
