Actually, electronics are pretty cheap there. A macbook costs like 700 pounds tax free at the airport. You should get one on the way back, by that time they would probably launch the new macbook with leopard.

It’s not that expensive. Me and my friend just ordered 2 meals from Hardees and it was 3.600 KD (13 dollars). So there’s no big difference.

Kuwait is disgustingly over priced. Don’t forget we pay no taxes and employ at almost slave labour salaries.
Couple of coffees and 2 cakes at Starbucks will set you back almost $18.

i hate people who compare London to Hawali , of course it’s going to be more expensive coz of like 10 million reasons. ur going to have fun screw money.

Dude its not that expensive. If you don’t like it, you can always go to mcdonalds. Stop complaining about the prices, its not like kuwait is heavenly cheap!! You need to take a break and spend money without complaining once in ur life :P Have fun

London is gonna rip your pocket ! Not much good cheap eats. I suggest you try the Salt Beef Sandwich @ Selfridges with English hot mustard or take a bold move with Ox Tongue Sandwich.
25. Esh6a | October 20th, 2007 at 3:09 pm
Enjoy it my friend and forget money. I love London because its expensive :) I highly recommend the salted beef in Selfridges. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT
26. Karim AK | October 20th, 2007 at 3:56 pm
Kuwait is just as expensive as London. In fact buying: clothes, electronics and food is cheaper in comparison to buying in Kuwait.
And a tip for you, if you do all your shopping, eating and dining in Central London, you deserve to be punished with hugely inflated prices.
Go outside of W1 and you will get normal prices, just like any major touristic city.
London is the finest city in the world and 100% justifiable in price. You get what you pay for….quality.

Once again try Bradys for the best fish and chips and top mushy peas 513 Old York Road, London, SW18 1TF. Bit out of the wat but worth it
29. Mark | October 20th, 2007 at 9:35 pm
Thanks everyone for the tips. For those of you who think I was complaining about the price of the food I wasn’t.

Man that’s more expensive than Japan !!
35. fatfukka | October 22nd, 2007 at 7:15 am
These are tourist prices. I lived/live in London (W6) from birth. Even if somewhere’s just called “The Diner”, if it’s not McD’s or something similar, it’s gonna be a restaurant. Pretty much how a burger in Tumbleweeds in Kuwait costs more than Burger King.
