Gosh !!! he’s so damn stupid , i bet you his heart sank to his legs when the phone fell ( i know mine would ) and btw a guy i know who works at the mac store in cairo ( i live in egypt ) says that they will have the iphone by september i dunno if its the US version or the one that’s rumored to be announced on monday

BTW my friend who is friends with the brother of a transexual guy/girl that works in a mac shop in zimbabwe told me they were gonna get the iphone next week and it’s the international unlocked version with the upgraded 3G and 10 megapixel cam.
he’s gonna get me one soon for free guys i am gonna review it ASAP when i fit my MTC SIM in it

so as i can understand from all articles and apple.com specs is that the iphone is a GSM device.. which means it can take the cards that we use here in Kuwait in r mobile phones.. so why cant i order one from the sates?
Who needs the iPhone. The Nokia 3330 rocks..or even the Nokia 3210. Those phones have got one thing the iPhone doesnt..they can be used as weapons. You could break skulls with those =)
Steve, the ones in the states are locked to Cingular. You can buy them and have it unlocked…but that is a hassle.

Mark deSouza.. i think it is worth going thru the hassle.. don’t you think so? and you mean at&t not Cingular right?
it wont work in Kuwait. It wont work anywhere outside the US. It only works with the AT&T network. It doesn’t even work in Vermont which is in the US because AT&T doesn’t have a network there.
Mark, what if you buy an unlocked phone, will it work here?

Yeah…At&T. I still get a “cingular” bill, but my cellphone service says “At&T”, so I get confused. But yeah..I do mean At&T. :)
You could look on ebay for unlocked phones. There will deifinitely be an increasing number as time goes by.

Mark, if every phone has been unlocked in the past, why is the iphone not able to be unlocked? (just curious btw)
i think because the gsm chip is built in. you can’t replace the chip with your own.
