Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 6

BeoSound6

I saw the BeoSound 6 MP3 player at the B&O showroom in Fanar yesterday and it looked pretty slick until I picked it up and realized how light it was. I was expecting the BeoSound 6 to be a bit heavy but instead it was really light which made it feel flimsy and cheap. The player costs KD157 after discount so flimsy and cheap are two things you don’t want describing it. It costs KD164 on Amazon which makes it cheaper in Kuwait but I would still get an iPod.

Bang & Olufsen internal electronics are supplied by Philips they only design the shell in Denmark.

the BeoSound 6 internal electronics are a Samsung.
But anyway, B&O isn’t a repackaged philips. They use components from various manufacturers and usually most of the components are specifically made for them so B&O isn’t really a high end wansa like you make it sound to be.

Mark that was my previous knowledge about B&O, they might have changed their suppliers by now. I have visited their assembly premises in Struer, which was located 15km from my house, the problem with B&O is that they tend to be unreliable and the name was dubbed in Danmark to Bovl og Omkostinger which translates to Trouble & Expenses.

It’s so funny to read all this…
It’s a huge mistake to see a comment from someone who has never used beosound 2 or beosound 6. Since beosoud 2 there is no better mp3 player on the market, of course if you prefer 100 GB of storage and color display …maybe combination with toaster :) you can find a lot of this at the market.
