I use it to run exclusively, and have had 2 different carrying cases for it (Dio seemed to be the best, but I can't find a replacement, so I have a cheezy rubber one from Agent 13). I searched through many discussion groups about this error, and no one really seems to have a difinitive answer/solution. Some people say try getting a new usb plug, others say reformat the iPod, still more say look at the connections. Luckily, I used some canned air to blast away any debris from the port, and that seems to have cleared up the problems. Hopefully, that's all that it needed.
