The Cinemizer
I passed by an Apple retailer in Munich today to check and see if by any chance they had the new iPod’s in stock. Turns out they will get them at the end of the week which sucks for me since I would be back in Kuwait. While at the store I spotted the Cinemizer which I posted about back in May. There was a working display model which I got to play around with. Watching a video through the glasses felt like I was sitting in a dark room with a large TV in front of me which was pretty cool. The glasses were comfortable to wear and I think it would a lot more practical watching a movie with these glasses then off my tiny iPod screen. But I think I looked really weird standing in the store with these glasses on. Imagine the reaction you would get from strangers if you wore your sunglasses while on the plane. Now imagine the reaction you would get wearing these thick ugly frames with wires running out of them… [Link]

yes mark, if you’re cool with wearing those things on your feet, these glasses wont look weird at all.

Come on man, the peice is beautiful, besides who will be walking around and watching a movie while walking? no one, you go to a cafe shop, sit on the corner, get your coffee and wear your glasses and watch your movie.. you missed a big chance to buy the product.. bad move from your side..

I dont think these are supposed to be worn standing up. I would use them on a plane (when everyone is sleeping anyway) and definitely not while stand on my feet, i dont want to be running into lamp posts

Mark the less you care about what people are thinking, the less stress your life will be … respect them but they have no single reason to intrude your privacy. Do whatever you believe in :)
I mean if you are on the plane wearing your Cinemizer glasses watching one of your favorite movies, it’s their own problem that they have no idea you are watching a movie.

Hey Mark,
New iPods will be in stock in the Middle East and so in Kuwait within one month. Not so long, you could just wait and grab yourself one from Kuwait.
Cheers

Aramani you could also wear your pjs to Avenues and not care about what people think but that doesn’t make you look less weird. Personally I wuold like to not stick out on a plane but blend in with everyone else.

Mark - Did you buy them? How much to they cost. Is there anywhere I could get them online and get them shipped to Kuwait?

It costs KD140 and I didn’t buy them. They are just too big and expensive. There is another model I read about called Myvu which have various models at different prices plus the glasses look better

thats one of the models
