See how fast you can type
Back in university I took a typing class (I needed the 1 credit) and I ended up breaking the university record with 77 word per minute (deducting the mistakes). The teacher used to hate me but she couldn’t do much since I just kept typing faster then any of her other students.
Anyway found this cool site that tests how fast you type. I just got such a rush from this since and I am currently pumped full of adrenaline.. I love trying to type as fast as possible I don’t know why. The stupid thing with this test though is that if you make a mistake you HAVE to fix it or else you won’t be able to finish the test. Its really annoying but adds to the challenge. The highest score I got was 84.51 words per minute. Sounds fast until you realize that the worlds fastest typist was an old woman who hit 212 words per minute.. [Link]

lol awesome. I remember in grade 5 and grade 6 we had the same computer lessons with the same teacher. Old grumpy man. You were forced to use the asdf route which i believe is pretty gay and will never be as fast as your fingers pressing sperately on each button. The whole class cheered me on as i was the fastest but the teacher always criticized i didnt use asdf, well fuck you i owned his bitchass. Geeky but ownage geeky :)

I tried this from home with a dial-up connection. Will check it out tommorow from office. But I doubt I can exceed 90 wpm

No realistic measure, my highest score on Mavi’s Typing software was 72 WPM and now on this it’s 109.12?? no way, it aint acurate at all. I’m a coder, I live on typing!

I’ve always been a slow typer. I never really understood why people think it is important to type fast. Its not like our livelihoods depend on it. Except for secretaries!

178.8 WPM. 1 mistake. I’m beginning to believe that my skills in piano have developed due to my typing ability. Anyone know anything about that and how the brain works…in terms of typing/piano?
