Topagi, im not saying there not allowed to do whatever they want but they should at least respect the fact that this is an islamic country.
and if they wanna wear bikinis and enjoy there time they can go to a private beach..
There are no private beaches in kuwait for non-kuwaitis
Carls there ARE private beaches, not purely 4 forgeins, but at least its private and people won’t bother them 4 doing stuff like this…i mean if she wanted to wear a bikini she could of went to the hilton resort or SAS, or any other private beach…no one would tell’er anything there..

Those are still pretty much public places.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmat Allah wa barakatuhu,
I have to say, I am appalled by some of the passive reactions I’ve read here. So here are some points to consider:
1- Like it or not, currently the vast majority of Kuwaitis are an inherently conservative and religious people. We do not tolerate this mockery.
2- Banning public nudity and indecent public behaviour does equate into doom for fun loving people. It’s not as if there aren’t any alternatives to belly dancing on the beach. If this is the only enjoyable activity you can think of, I suggest you move to europe.
3- For those of you who tried to argue with something along the lines of “wth! She was just dancing! People are allowed to do whatever they want! wth!” I’m afraid you’re sadly mistaken. Even in Western countries, there is no such thing as utter and complete freedom with regards to what one can do in public. For example, women aren’t allowed to appear toppless in public in many western countries. If so, then who’s to say we would be oppressive if we banned women from wearing revealing clothing of any kind? Isn’t this the exact same thing as what western countries do when implementing the above law, albiet with stricter conditions? Obviously there is no such thing as complete freedom, only different levels of freedom, none of which are inherently wrong. Freedom is actually decided through consensus (in a democracy, of course), and consensus among the vast majority of Kuwaitis clearly disagrees with what took place in that video. This doesn’t mean that we’re moving back to the stone age, because what the video shows has nothing do to with advancment. That wasn’t progression, it was regression.
Obviously, the above was a secular argument. If you’re a Muslim, then the issue is already settled for you (Music is impermissible, nudity is impermessible, vulgar public dancing is impermissible, etc).
