How to set your sideview mirrors
Holla posted this link in the forum and I am going to try it today. I have a huge blindspot with the Wrangler on the left side so hopefully with this new “revelation” no more blindspot. [Link]

heh done that like five years ago. I never looked over my shoulder, and changing lanes is like second nature.

I’ve been doing this a few years myself. It’s especially handy while driving on multilane highways (which is just about every road I drive on). Once you get used to it, making lane changes much easier, and you have the advantage of knowing if someone is beside you the entire time you’re driving. That makes a difference if you ever have to take evasive action to avoid an accident (can you change lanes to avoid the accident or will you need to slam on your breaks if someone is occupying the other lane?).

i think it took me like 5 minutes to get used to it, it’s not that radical a change really.
in fact it’s a really simple thing, that’s what makes it so odd that it’s not so intutive. almost everyone i know just sets their mirrors the other way and just tell me i am full of shit when i try to explain this way to them.

I have been trying this out for a while now. Personally - I only find it useful for driving on motorways (highways). On slower roads the traffic is closer, and invariably the vehicle behind effectively blocks the rear view mirror - but when the wing mirrors are in the traditional position this is not a problem.
Just my opinion! Great site btw.
