Wonderful documentary, but so sad. What happened to us? We had everything. Kuwait seemed on its way to becoming a truly cosmopolitan place. Now it's nothing but a big, polluted strip mall full of uneducated, unsophisticated riff raff. Despite the old film, you can still tell that the skies were blue, the sea clean. Today, we're lucky if we have five unpolluted days a year. And nobody seems to care as long as we have more malls opening up, more junk to buy. Old Kuwait was wonderful—wonderful architecture, wonderful people. New Kuwait is pathetic—tasteless, tacky, poorly executed buildings/projects and a bunch of selfish, greedy, uneducated, ill-mannered buffoons. We've truly come a long way...only not in the right direction.

Amazing and very interesting documentary, Kuwait back then was very much like Dubai nowadays. Contractions everywhere, new roads, new entertainment facilities, and new lifestyle.
It was and still the best and the most beautiful state in the whole ME.
thank you.
