Airplane Water Landings

Has anyone ever survived a water landing by donning a vest or using a raft? An interesting short article I read yesterday. [Link]

No the plane crashed and they washed up onto the water.

I doubt that a plane that is coming down from the sky would survive a crash over water, but it turns into damn concrete at the speed your coming down at.

I’ve often thought of having a parachute as my hand luggage. If a plane’s going to crash, I’d like to try my chances being whipped out at high speed when it reached say 5000 ft.

There is also a black fog that goes around the island killing people on Lost .. just because its on tv, doesn’t make it true.

yeah I wanna see you getting out of your seat, knowing when the plane is at 5000ft, preparing your chute, reaching one of the doors you have to open on your own and then getting out safely and all that while the plane is falling violently towards the ground. I bet you wouldn’t even be able to open your seatbelt before you´re dead
