My current dolby digital receiver is a Kenwood and is like 8 years old. I have a newer Nakamichi RE 10 but its a stereo receiver. I use it with my Nakamichi cd player and only for listening to cds. I had people mesmerized listening to this beast. If you do get it, your neighbors might have issues with you, so you better invite them for a movie every now and then :) The 3805 is worth every fils.
