easyHotel = tinyHotel
I’ve been checking out pictures of various easyHotel rooms taken by people on flickr and I honestly don’t know if I should be laughing or getting worried that I am going to spend 4 nights at an easyHotel end of the month in London. The rooms are so tiny most people could only take a picture of it while standing outside the room. But judging by peoples reactions in the photos, it looks like fun.. I hope. [Pictures]

very depressing maybe thats why they put the orange colore ,is the company paying for your stay ,they should pay for the counselling after your trip /good luck ….you will need it.

I feel claustrophobic just looking at the pics, I guess if the rooms had a window I could stay for a couple of nights if they were cheap and spend the money on more outings and shopping.

6. i don't think it's requierd | January 7th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
i think it’s nice
you should not expect any luxury
there concept is simple
they try to lower the cost as they can
i think it’s fun , innovative and definitely worth it

i would suffocate in this room!
8. Nobu | January 7th, 2009 at 11:55 pm
Tiny room with no windows? That’s the definition of a prison cell. I wouldn’t stay there if they paid me. Well, they’d have to pay me a lot; say a million.

i stayed at Yo-tel at Gatwick once, It was very interesting, real tiny, real cheap no windows though. it was meant for travelers, you book by the hours.

14. A.f | January 8th, 2009 at 5:39 am
I was wondering how they got the king size bed in if there were no windows :S

I seriously advise you to reconsider going on holidays or not, because I wouldnt even think of travelling even if you pay me to travel and to stay in there. Thats just pathetic man, more ways to squeeze money out of people when the only thing you have is a fixed area.
Did your wife even see the picture? Shes a designer, she must have sense of all design principles the moment her eyes scans this room. I bet shes gonna go beserk over you.

Looking at this photo, my only concern would be that there isn’t space enough to pray.
17. Ahmed | January 8th, 2009 at 8:38 am
Its not that bad. Just dont expect a big room. Atleast its safe, centric and clean. You are only there to sleep.
Save your money and spend it on eating & shopping.

please STFU jo.
21. Danish | January 8th, 2009 at 9:29 am
Yeah I agree with Ahmed, and you shouldn’t be expecting something very luxurious as you know you are going to ” No Frill” hotel and saving some money… because you are paying for it.
Also JO’s concern is very much upto the mark, why is GAZA issue not here….. lets all agree that all thats happening is a war crime and the whole world should come together to punish Israel.
Mark do a small study on the Maps of Palestine / Israel from 1946 till date and put it up here so we know who is harassing whom and for what reason.

Looks a bit like a posh jail cell , good luck! I hope youre going to be pretty hammered at night when you go back to your room it might look a bit more appealing then lol
24. Dave | January 8th, 2009 at 10:25 am
This is a personal blog and a thread on a capsule hotel. Why do people need to post about Gaza? Do you really want your info about Gaza from an advertising execs blog? Honestly, turn on the news, or read a newspaper, or read a website that deals with CURRENT EVENTS instead of lecturing someone about what they should or should not be putting on their own blog.

For once, I agree with with Holla.
I’m going to Tel Aviv in Feb., anyone been there?

Hope you don’t roll in bed too much. Else you might find yourself in the bathroom next morning. Worse, the lobby… or your neighbour’s room lol.

Hire out a van and sleep in the back… it’s bigger :)
But with London’s parking, it’s probably cheaper to stay at The Dorchester…

40. mentabolism | January 8th, 2009 at 8:15 pm
so how much are you paying for this punishment? I hope its worth it.
41. Sheep | January 8th, 2009 at 11:57 pm
actually looking back at this .. its weird that they choose the colour orange.. its supposed to be the colour that makes people the most uncomfortable.. like people normally dont wanna spend tooo much time in an orange room
a lot of fast food resturants use orange to make people go in get their food eat fast and leave.. they dont want people sticking around and crowding a fast food resturant after they’ve already paid.. so i think its quite smart of them :P
