It does work with Safari (that's what I use), and should work with IE as well. All that's happened it your google prefereces have been changed to say "View Google in Pig Latin." So you can easily change them back if you like. Personally, I've changed mine to Elmer Fudd. :) The question is, though, who changed the prefs? It's hilarious, but is it a gag by google for IPs that visit their site frequently/have customized their google prefs in some way (ie. news, etc), a glitch in the system (I doubt it--why would it just happen to be pig latin rather than one of their many real languages?) or some sort of outside hack? If anyone finds out, let me know...
