Mark, I have an iPod nano (black) and have noticed that the front surface scratches much easier than the surface. I carry the nano in a very soft ultrasuede sleeve and just pushing or pulling the nano in and out of the sleeve is enough to scratch it – very fine scratches, but still enough to be bothersome. The white nano probably doesn’t show the scratches as much. There are several products available which claim to remove the scratches but I’ve not yet tried one.
