Jazeera Airways Payment Problems

Yesterday a friend at my office tried buying a ticket online at the Jazeera Airways website. When she hit the final submit button after putting in her credit card details she got a page with an error. So, she redid the process over and over until it finally worked. Once she was done she checked her email and found that she had purchased 5 tickets. It turned out even though she was getting an error the order was still going through. She has been trying to contact Jazeera since yesterday to report what happened but the lines are always busy.
Today so far the same problem has happened with 4 other people I know including k.thekuwaiti. Everyone who is also trying to contact Jazeera is getting a busy tone. Someone was also telling me the line yesterday at the airport for people waiting to buy a ticket was a kilometer long. Thats just crazy.

First, the rush will continue until their offer expires, which is tomorrow, so thursday, lines should be back to normal.
Now, I have had trouble with them before… They are usually good. BUT, if at any point they stop cooperating, just go to the Bank. You fill out a report, and 2-3 wees later, you get your money back.

It happened to my mum before and they refunded her the extra ticket the next day.

Yeah it happened to my dad before…they charged some KD800 to his credit card, once he called the bank they dropped it but it takes 15 days or so. i think this happens when they have heavy traffic on their site.
My question is, if they are launching a campaign this huge then shouldnt they anticipate and be able to handle this much response? its ridiculous really how you can hardly get thru on the phone or online, it defeats the whole purpose.First everyone was talking about how great the offer is, now all i hear is ppl complaining that they cant get thru… it just made me incredibly frustrated and you can bet i wont be making that effort to book with them again!!

They just cant handle the rush!
5KD is less then how much I put for gas in the landcruiser!
It also happened to CyberRowdy!
They need to upgrade their call center! Put a few more people in their!

i was supposed to go to the airport to buy a ticket cos of the busy lines but a friend who was there told me how many people were fighting over places so decided not ot

I had the same thing happen to me in May, and I am STILL waiting for the duplicate payment to be credited back to my husband’s credit card. I was told it would be done immediately - HA! HA! HA! Patience, patience….

Hi, Just came from the airport, its a huge que, as i was at the airport, the other travel agency were also providing tickets for jazeera airways, but for 15KD extra per ticket (either one way or round trip). I have being tring to register online but i get a blank page after the validation of payment, I hope they dont deduct any amount from my CC, as I tried 3-4 times, but fail to pass the process. Mark any way we can contact these jazeera help desk, coz 177 is never answered.

a friend of mine faced similar issue…he called NBk and they said his card is charged 5 times, but will appear on the card only after jazeera approves / post payment…

Dear Jazeera Airways Customers,
We take this opportunity to thank all our customers for the great response to our recent seat sale.
We understand that many of our customers have faced problems while trying to book seats online in order to take advantage of this sale.
This is due to a fiber optic cable breakdown in Saudi Arabia that resulted in slow and disruptive internet service across more than half of Kuwait. The Kuwait Ministry of Communication worked quickly to resolve the issue by changing the internet link-up to Dubai; however the internet service continues to remain below service levels across Kuwait.
We have been informed that this disruption will continue today as the Dubai link up is not able to support the Kuwait service optimally.
As a result, many of our customers who have tried to book in the last 24 hours did not receive confirmations on their booking and have therefore made repeated bookings. The reality of this situation is that payments and bookings did go through however customers were not informed due to the disruptive service.
As always Jazeera Airways would like to assure our customers that they are not at risk and we will do the following to resolve this:
- Refunding you the extra bookings in full
- Continue to work with the Kuwait Ministry of Communication to resolve the situation at the earliest and work together in order to ensure the problem does not reoccur.
Your extra charges will be refunded to you in full within 25 days (depending on your bank and its credit card refund processing procedures).

on 3- Dec-2006, I booked the ticket to Mumbai on website. I would like to know Why 1 KD is charged extra on website when i pay by my K net or Visa Card.
After booking on website, I didn’t received any printout of booking. How can I get printout or search for my confirmation quries and get my duplicate printout

same thing happened to me..instead of one ticket the payment got credited 4 times and 4 tickets got booked…yday i went to the Jazeera Airways headoffice at the airport..i was told by the staff at the counter that refund is being taken care by the HO which is located at the Mezenine floor…but to my surprise their office was closed and no one was there..though they were suppose to keep there office open till 9pm..they closed the office at 4pm and left. wat a pathetic customer service.

Today, I booked one ticket and did not get any confirmation, but had taken money for 3 tickets. I tried to call customer service, when they are picking up the phone, immediately they are cutting without hearing anything. What a customer service.

Cheap tickets brings cheap service which brings cheap labour which brings cheap maintenence. If this airline cannot afford to pay for someone to attend customer service then whos paying for the mechanics? Or do they even have any? I would predict that it isnt to long before something bad happens.

there is only one phone number available of jazeera airways in dubai, and it is also not working.. can anyone please help to get any other number of Jazeera airways office in dubai???

hey dudes & ya all jazeera travellers
jazeera is only for poor ppl in need of saving money to cut there travel expenses… and if u guys say they have expensive rates for june july.. then i have to say they did sell for 4 kd before… u could have booked at that time… because of jazeera air india, egypt air, have dropped there prices to very bottom… thus jazeera has come to our rescue… but not to forget that its a company and at the end of the year they have to show profit to there shareholders so they have to make some strict rules regarding there check in and forfiet policy…
so i u gotta fly cheap… u have to obey the rules… i am willing to even fly standing… dont mind if i dont get a seat if they give me a tkt for 1 kd… :D
well they did give tkts for dubai for 10 AED(.750 fills)
so thumbs up to jazeera
