And the beauty of these prices is that they are without any kind of warranty!.
The official distributor in Middle east has clearly stated that if you buy these Japanese versions, they will not be covered under warranty. You have to wait till March 2007 for the official launch in Europe & Middle east.

  2. Naser says:

Who buys consoles in Kuwait while thinking about warranty? You go to the shop and turn the world upside down! hehehehe

The prices are always like that in the beginning, they will fall down really soon.

The official release of the wii in europe will be early December, so it will go down soon to something like 100 KD or so. The PS3 on the other hand will not come out officially in europ until early next year, so expect the same high prices for a while.. and even then it will not be less than 200 KD.

How much is the XBox 360 in Kuwait now?

  6. Entra-P-Noor says:

I Just came from Gitex, Sony told us that the official release for our region will be on March, and the price for the 60GB will be $599.

    Better Wait…!

there is no point buying un-modded systems in kuwait, original games are just stupidly expensive.
i think the PS3 might have a hard time here bc u can’t quite make copied blu-ray discs yet.

  14. jane says:

i love how in the end you put the change rate of the Kuwaiti dinar !

like people outside Kuwait will actually think about buying game consoles from here anyways!

    overpriced toys…

  15. Mark says:

jane the exchange rate is for people who dont know what the kuwaiti dinar is worth.

And thats before the haggling. Start with a smile and end with a begging constipated face. Should drop it to 440.

I’d seriously wait on the PS3, the launch titles are quite crap.
