A reader sent in pictures of the Chairman’s Club which is located on the last floor of the Burgan Bank building. The Chairman’s Club is an invite only club where they supposedly have a KD35 burger. Check out the pictures below.

@lensman, i’ve viewed in firefox its just fine.
@SWAiN, being rich in Kuwait doesn’t necessarily means that the person is ‘open’ or whatever… in fact, most of wealthy people nowadays are labeled as ‘religious’ (even though they used religion in one way or the other to make their fortune).
so the idea is you pay a huge amount of money to just go and sit there ! and sometimes you’d pay double the huge amount of money to just go sit and eat a burger .35KD ! its a burger what could possibly be in this burger that would make it worth 35KD ,do they serve french fries with it by the way?
I woujldn’t mind having my gin and tonic there.

The pictures are a throwback to the Hunting & Equesterian Club, in its heyday, before the invasion. Dunno, if they have spiffed up the place now.

I’ve been there for an evening of free cigars and drinks. Yes the rumors are true, they serve alcohol! And yes, the waitresses are Russian or other eastern European nationalities. A few or them are tall and blonde. But it’s usually a bunch of older rich guys sitting around and talking, nothing very exciting.

Bashar: No they weren’t because the pictures were timestamped and they were shot July 2009 with a D80.
