Was just flipping through the Watan TV website and I found some interesting short video clips. The site is like a video blog, just a bunch of random clips related to Kuwait. [Link]

I understand that you can’t build anything on your sidewalk (irtidaad), but can’t you have a garden or something?

Basically, They didn’t plane for “Dewanya” to be designed in the house so they either build Kirby or rise up a tent to host people and friends in.
Alwatan are trying to follow-up Alrai in opening a TV station, but I guess most presenters are already occupied. They have to find their own new presenters. AlBawady station have already contracted with the “cool” people in TV presenting business while the really “Ko0ol” ones have joined Rotana and AlRai. So far AlwatanTv Sucks :)

Basically, the land or house that the government give out to its citizens is too small(around 400sq.m.) to have a house and an external dowaniya. Thats why you also see alot of high house which almost look like short apartment buildings. Some build their houses in such way on purpose so that they can rent some floors which is illegal.
Gardens are ALLOWED, but they cant be fenced (Bush fences are allowed).

can you put animals or livestock in the garden? Caged of course.

Not sure about that, but I hope not. Not only it gives an uncivilized look for the neighbourhood, you have to tolerate with fucking roosters early in the morning and fucking barking dogs at 2AM (2:48AM haha).
