Where the boys at?

Toxy found this cool article about Lebanon and how the girls there outnumber the guys 5 to 1. But as my friend who’s in Lebanon just told me, “although they outnumber us 5 to 1, Lebanese girls are 5 times harder to date”. So it evens out.
In my university the ratio was like 4 girls to 1 guy. I had one class that was 20 girls and just me… and it wasn’t a child birth education class or some other girly class like that. [Link]

It’s blasphemous! Paints them all as tacky girls on the look out for rich dudes…It’s a disgraceful article.

there is no mention in the article above that the girls are on the look out for rich dudes. they are just on the look out for open minded dudes.

who said its hard to date in lebanon? its very easy! thats the best part bout nightlife there, men are outnumbered… we cant complain. its enough that they r there!! in kuwait… guys to girls ratios 20:1 at at least and some girls are originally guys!!!!

True Fonzy, way too many dudes in Kuwait.
Have you noticed that in certain areas in Kuwait - you can drive around for hours and not see a single woman?

harder to date as in they are higher maintenance

Whenever I have been to Lebanon, I’ve always found the girls to be very friendly - but only if they are introduced to you via a mutual friend etc.
It’s certainly not like in Europe / US where you can just go up to random strangers and ‘attempt’ to open up conversations.

well as a Kuwaiti going up to a random Lebanese girl and making conversation its not going to be easy.
As a Lebanese going up to a random Lebanese girl and making conversation its easy.
I am curious to know how it is when an American or British go up to a random Lebanese girl..

1.1:1 Women to Men in Kuwait, and that is true from real statistics, but as some have mentioned you dont see them outside is because they are either locked up at home or go to their respective venues.. You dont see them out and about, but the men in kuwait come out in waves! So they seem like a lot which isnt the case really.. And women are more accessible in Lebanon because they are friendlier to a certain degree and they are open, and the men dont give the impression that all they want to do is hump the hell out of their legs like most (3agad) men in Kuwait.. the majority of Kuwaiti men do not know how to interact with the other specicies.. There are a lot of great guys, and girls, but the crappy type of guys out number the good kind.. and of course there are the crappy kind of girl as well.. but the guys just show themselves a lot quicker!
Lebanon.. gotta love them people, and the article is incorrect I have met some extremely talented male and female Lebanes that I would want to work with. And if they enjoy themselves every once in a while well good for them.. and they stay in lebanon to build it into the great country that it is and hopefully continue to build it!

I still don’t get how you don’t find anything wrong with this article!

Damn, what a way to end an article. A 19 year old’s opinion….. that guys living in Lebanon are losers…. ouch! Damn, girl!
Well, what can ya say?
Lebanon was and is war torn. Any guy trying to come to terms with and survive that reality is no where near being a loser.
As for the ladies? They are tryin to come to grips with it too.
The few years I spent there, I DEFINITELY felt the competitive nature of the city girls. And the whole staring thing. And the noses being erased by plastic sugery made me feel like the girls (and guys now too) are wiping of a major part of their ethnicity.
Survival of the fittest. It ain’t always pretty.
