On topic: The "official" DSL ISPs are pretty limited in Lebanon, I have a pretty good (cable) internet connection up in the mountains here with a local ISP (probably illegal, but who cares...it's Lebanon, they buy a bunch of bandwidth getting beamed down from Russian satellites or something). I pay $44 a month, up to 512 kbps and a 2.5GB up+down limit PER DAY. Pings between 300-500ms depending on the time of day. But keep in mind the fine print "Fair Usage Policy applies." But I still feel their offerings and packages are the best for DSL in Lebanon. If you want an unlimited bandwidth you could try Sodetel.
