No More Flash!!!

Finally, no more flash in flickr. The reason it took me so long to get with flickr was because I hate flash. And now, flickr has stopped using, thank god, feels good and fast now. Adding pictures to groups is so much more practical and easier now.

  1. I actually liked the flash, even though it got stuck sometimes. It gave me a sense of ‘high-tech’ and most of all, it gave me a sense of security that nobody was going to go on a right-click save picture rampage or even worse, save-all with Firefox. I know that screen shots could get the pictures even with flash, but atleast not everyone could manage those..

Edjamacated Guy if u dont want people to save your picture then don’t post it online.

  4. well that’s a solution to everything isn’t it mark.. personally, i think flickr only did that to cut down the stress on their servers after all those problems they’ve been facing.

Actually, This might rape their bandwidth. People can hotlink now, which is cool, but not so cool for them. I think they will turn the hotlinking off eventually.

edjamcated guy what i meant was if you were really worried people would copy your images you shouldnt post htem online.

i think they stopped using flash because it was so lo-tech. it was slow, clumsy and caused problems.
