More ISPs would have rerouted to the alternatives compared to yesterday creating more congestion, anyway news states they have started that a french ship has started the repairs…

    Tfeh on this internet
I started browsing in 1993, I thought the day will come when it becomes fast and lovely to browse, it seems to get worse.

during my last trip to london i was dloading at almost 900k/s on the torrents and thats from the HOTEL !!!!!

When will get close to that, when will we be getting a decent latency result.

its 15 years later and its not better and we are paying more !!!

The Raymond Croze repair ship reached the location on Sunday; and the underwater robots are currently looking for the severed cables.
Once the cables are found; they will be brought to the surface and repaired. SMW4 (the major link) should be operational by this Thursday; SMW3 (old one) should be fixed by the end of the month.

Ask the Media in Kuwait to help us.

Thats true, the media has no interest on the internet problems. They never speak of it or say anything to those ISPs we have in Kuwait.

We need more companies aswell. We need cables too.
I mean seriously guys, think of it like this

    40KD/month Just silly 1mb
We pay more by this much ; to get internet that Slow.
when on the other hand, europe/american people
They pay so little ; to get a real fast internet compared to us.
    10dollars/mo 10Mbit

So now you tell me, they thieving us around?
It’s ridiculous if you ask me.

Oh add to that one more thing, We’re a rich country along with a real small area to cover, One day I had a nice conversation with some american person who happened to work in the telia ISP in the united states and he was so shocked for our speeds/prices.

He said to me “I’m shocked, how can your country which happened to be so small to be covered with a real fast internet, taking on consideration that your country is rich & has alot of money, there must be something wrong”

and i thought yes! Lets be honest here….
    There is something wrong

Apparently, the target date to get all this fixed was December 26th. We’ll have to wait and see.
