512KB DSL Prices in Kuwait

These are the current DSL prices in Kuwait for a 512KB connection.

Qualitynet: KD24.5 a month (You need an NBK account for this price)
UnitedNet: KD25 a month (Yearly contract paid montly)
Fasttelco: KD70 a month (KD50 if paid 1 year in advance)

Just a note, Fasttelco had the lousiest sales guy when I called, really crap. UnitedNet don’t seem to have a website which I think is very ify Turns out they do have a website but google doesn’t know about it. With Qualitynet if you don’t have an NBK account then you need to pay the full year subscription in advance or you will have to pay the monthly fee of KD38.

  2. Mark says:

    i tried google got nothing.

  3. 3baid says:

FastTelco gives you double the speed. So it’s 21.333 KD a month.

  4. Purgatory says:

I think if you pay on yearly basis with Q net you pay 21.67 KD monthly, regardless of your bank (I think this is done online, total 260 KD) and 23.3 KD if you pay in person (total 280 KD). The United price is even cheaper if I remember right, though they do not mention prices online, but they had a flyer showing a price close to 240 KD annunaly.

SlowTeleco is the worst of the bunch, no need to discuss anything about them.

    Happy with Qnet! FT sucks!

  6. Mo Hat says:

Happy with Qnet 1mb, FT DOES SUUUUCK

  7. Mark says:

3baid they dont have that offer any more. Only offer they have is 256kb for KD256 a year or KD40 per month.

  8. Yazeed says:

United Networks dsl line is good. i use a dual connection, a 2Mb satellite line + a 128 Kbps dsl line and as promised i get a download speed of over 192 Kbps (the speed usually fluctuates between 20 KB to 25 KB depending on the server) which is good for the 10 KD p/m i pay.It is good enuff for normal surfing ,p2ps n some minor downloads but for the bigger files satellite is the only way! For KD 15 u get a 256 Kbps line and the guy says that the d/l speed is gonna be 320 Kbps which is again a good bargain i guess.ive been using the lines since an year now and so far so good, the satellite HAS NOT snapped or given any problems since day 1 but DSL went down once but they were quick to solve it! good customer service too..

  11. im3vil says:

wot will be the download speeds for united networks ? will be like 40-50k download speeds(for 256 k line)? if yes, its better thn qnet.

  12. unknown says:

ok if i want to pay month by month, what the price will be?

  13. none says:

boys, get rid of your jaundiced views
and your cholera infected qnet dsl connections…

    switch to ft.

  14. holla says:

lol FT is just in a class all by itself. it sets a new standard in absolute stupidity.

what’s worse the the dumb fucking cunts that actually buy their shit service, but thsi is kuwait after all, there are suckers around every traffic light.

  15. Mac Daddy says:

anybody with United ? can you please post their Satalie +DSL prices ? Thank you

  16. loo7a says:

qualitynet 256 for a year is 180 KD, and if you paid online NBK its 169, thats like 14 kd/month
(there going to make special summer dsl offers, which you get extra 3 months free for 169 = 11.266 kd / month ,

  17. Fatality says:

Qnet is going down, Kems is coming to the home user and its going to give Qnet one hell of a hard time.

  18. Basamigi says:

I’ve been with United since last Feb using 512MB DSL. Going great I have to say. Paid 240 KD for tha annual contract, cheaper when you pay it full on one shot. They had this offer during the last “lame” InfoConnect, I’m not sure if it’s still valid though.

Average download spead ranges between 60-80 Kbps. I downloaded full movies in around 6-7 hrs.

Their support is ok. Just make sure you’re not talking to a trainee !

I have to say though that they were a bit lousy in setting up the WiFi network in my house and we had to call them back a few time.

    Overall.. Go for United !

  19. Fonzy says:

Mark, which one do u advise? I need to get DSL at home but want the fastest and the most reliable.

  20. Mark says:

Well your choices are between Qualitynet and United.
Zajil (Kems) would be a recommendation if you were corporate.

Between Qualitynet and United I am using Qualitynet because I have had problems with the mother company of United who are Global Direct who also own Showtime and Shownet.

  21. Fatality says:

Kems are offering residential dsl as well. They offer 24mbs if you can afford it :P

  22. Fonzy says:

alright, cool.. will check em out. Thanks:) See u tonight

  23. arabianfox says:

    Sorry, slightly off topic-
I just came back from India, and there in my town, dial up is almost non esistant and prices of broadband internet are very very low, atleast in the 256kbps speeds (Unltmd/month = 5kd aprx) . 512kbps with transfer limits are around 10kd.
After using the net there in cafe’s with speeds of 1Mbps @ 100 Fils/hour, its a huge leap back when i am in kw. :(

  24. Fahad says:

is this nbk price for online payment ?

  25. Mark says:

no its the yearly price for everyone but if you have nbk account you can split the amount to 12 months and pay month by month.. without adding interest.

  26. im3vil says:

    united networks…satellite prices pls

  27. saintorsinner says:

Call 807007 and ask for Ilyas for the Shownet satellite connection prices.

  28. tanGo says:

    KEMS >>> BEST
are you living on the moon or Mars!!!

  29. Luckyboy says:

I got the price list paper from UnitedNet, here are the prices:
    >ADSL
    128kb – 10kd / month
    256kb – 15kd / month
    512kb – 25kd / month
(They don’t offer any speed beyond 512kb ADSL)

    >Satellite+ADSL
    2mb/64kb (1gb limit) – 18.900kd / month
    2mb/256kb (2gb limit) – 28.900kb / month
(Very crappy download limit, hell I break that limit in less than 3hrs of p2p’ing !)

  30. Mac Daddy says:

Do they have unlimited download quota ?

  31. taher says:

    unlimited download quota 512kb

  32. chacko says:

anybody knows abt KEMS ADSL charges for corporate and home ADSL line??

  33. KEMS/Zajil
    256kbps -> 180 KD/year
    512kbps -> 280 KD/year

  34. dodgeram says:

anyone can give me two way satelite internet connection? prices and ISP ..

  35. slim says:

guys what is the best for playing video games oline i mean the best upload and the lowest ping

  36. sam says:

I saw that united are offering up to 2MB, why do you say they offer only up to 512KB?
and can some one please post the price for a 1MB KEMS/Zajil ADSL account?

  37. Mark says:

2MB is via satellite not DSL.

  38. Jaggo says:

I have United Networks and it SUCKS BALLZ. Unreliable and very unstable.

  39. Sam says:

What about Zajil? can someone please give a word on their service and its prices?

  40. Ahmedov_dostoyevsky says:

in my opinion i think Qnet is more reliable, their the oldest and more experienced, sure they show MORE CARE to the MORE PAYING customer but who doesnt? :D

    A.

  41. Webymaster says:

    Dear Mark,

    Thanks for your post, FYI:
Kipco is the mother company of UnitedNetworks, and UnitedNetworks is the mother company of: GlobalDirect, ShowNet, GulfSat, and MarinaFM.

And if you search google now, our website will be in the first result page :)

  42. Hey mark, i am using 256Kbps by united, been pretty good. The main thing to see here is that if you buy FT whatever connection you buy you get double the download speed.

But for united its just a tad bit different.
For instance the connection i have should give me a download speed of 25.6Kbps but i get 33.2kbps. which is pretty good. I am talking about actual P2P/File download and not the connection speed.

Connection speed of 256Kbps will give you 320Kbps. So there you go.

I wish we had cheap internet prices here..oh well
