Air Show Today
I remember the air show that was held in the early 90s. I think over 140 planes participated in that one. Today there is another air show although not as grand, if you are passing by Salmiya keep your eyes up in the air. Dailystar has more details. [Link]

Hi,
I do not live in Kuwait but a Kuwaiti company is a client of mine. Your blog is one of the sources I read regularly to keep track of what’s going on in the country. It’s a good read!
I wanted to share with you my experience with entering Kuwait.
I have been to Kuwait a couple of times. I need a visa though and our branch in Kuwait applies for it for me. It happened to me 3 times that my visa was rejected.
Why?
1st time – Because I am a potential threat to the country (they did not say what it means but I suspect its because of age below 30 and Eastern European nationality). I got it only after our sponsor in Kuwait intervened.
2nd time – Because once I got a visa before but did not finally enter the country. I did not since our meeting was cancelled.
3rd time – No reason at all
Is there any logic behind that?
How can this country be business friendly if you have no clear criteria for admission in the country if you travel for business purposes?

Applying for a Kuwaiti visa as an under-30yo eastern European is the same as being a under-30yo religious Saudi applying for an American visa.
Stereotypes go a long way ..

Why do an air show when everyone’s at work? You do it at the weekends, you goddamn moron organisers. They could’ve done a flyover at the Ahmadi Festival this weekend.
