LOL – I know I also miss the old Arbys in Salmiya with the automated service thingie – pretty cool for the late 80s, early 90s for Kuwait
Arbys always did have the best beef and cheddar sandwiches.

4. BlackBarook | July 16th, 2009 at 9:43 pm
Are they going to serve authentic Mexican food, or are they gonna slap some bread, cheese, and meat together and call it a Mexican dish?

What about Burritos restuarant @ the 2nd Ring Road? Last time I tried it, they served some authentic Mexican cuisine like tacos, burritos, etc. Anyway, adding a Mexican restaurant is must considering the excessive burger joints pop up in Kuwait.

In the early 90’s I was a Big Fan for Arby’s Salem Al-Mubarak street and avery week I take an order from it using the screen touch monitors !
i remember like to eat turkey and chicken burgers
I thing Alshaya tryed to open Arby’s in Avenues but they did not know that Alhemethiالحميضي still awn the trademark Arby’s in kuwait?? or alhmethi did not agree to give Arby’s to Alshaya
I am 37 yrs now :\

Hey mark why do you diss other people’s livelihoods and businesses? Thats not nice is it?
19. Burhan | July 19th, 2009 at 10:33 am
What is wrong with Taco Bell. Why don’t they open that here, instead of this Amigos crap.
Arby’s would be great, but keeping in line with Kuwait I’m keeping my hopes down and aiming for Taco Bell.
20. Mark | July 19th, 2009 at 10:33 am
Look: I didn’t diss anybodies livelihood, all i said that it sucks Arbys isn’t opening.
21. Mark | July 19th, 2009 at 10:34 am
there is a tacobell in Camp Arifjan
22. jeno | July 20th, 2009 at 11:22 am
Mark your previous intelligence report on the expected opening of “Arby’s” at 360 really sucked! Where did you get your information from? The 360 mall parking lot haris? What about Taco Bell? Why isn’t there a Taco Bell in Kuwait? I hear the one at Camp Arifjan earns huge revenue. Taco Time! Who likes that rat hole? They should call it “Waste of Time” because they suck at mexican food! Mark you probably need to calibrate your tastebuds again. And who is the travel ban freak who recommended “burritos” on 2nd ring road? Obviously this guy has a travel ban and can’t leave Kuwait because he’s been here so long he thinks subway is mexican food!
23. Mark | July 20th, 2009 at 11:49 am
Jeno: umm I never said Arbys is opening at 360. I said it was opening at Avenues and that was according to the Avenues website and in mall maps. I also never recommend Taco Bell to anyone neither have I ever been to Taco bell before. I think you’ve been reading someones else blog.
24. jeno | July 20th, 2009 at 12:26 pm
Mark, you are correct. Please accept my apology. I can’t remember where I read that (maybe 360dewan or somecontrast). But forget all that… You haven’t tried Taco Bell yet? Whoa! Taco Bell has been killing the U.S. market for decades! You seriously need to try it. I heard they are supposed to be opening at 360. But don’t quote me, I may have gotten that info from someone with bad info.
25. Mark | July 20th, 2009 at 12:31 pm
Who the 360 mall parking lot haris? ;)
26. jeno | July 20th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
No, the 360 parking lot haris (Diaa) wears “pink shoes”. If there is one thing I have learned in life is never trust a man in pink shoes.

@ Jeno,Yeah! I recommended Burritos on the 2nd Road. What’s worng with it? You don’t have to offend me just because I recommended a place that is not of your liking. I know what Mexican food is. I have Mexican friends whom I met during my postgraduate studies.
As far as your comment about me not travelling, I have not been to Kuwait since April. I’m in Northern England. Sorry, dude. But try to read my original post. I never offended you or anything. So, manner up! I’m not gonna blow my own horn and tell you how many countries I travel to.
28. Burhan | July 22nd, 2009 at 1:59 pm
I need to bribe someone at arifjan to get me some Taco Bell. I miss that stuff :(
Where is Alshaya when you need them. Stop littering Kuwait with Starbucks and get some Taco Bell.
@Jeno – I think you should try decaf for a while.
