They really should just re-furbish it, there's far more empty apartments in Kuwait than people (let alone people who can afford it). Though I really wouldn't compare this building with Le Corbusier or Mies's works... Rather it holds strong resemblances to Gropius's Bauhaus (if you were to stretch out the Bauhaus, and recolor it of course). There used to be one of Kuwait's first hobby stores on the ground floor ( r/c model cars, planes etc.. ) I would always see it from the Kuwait Sea Sport Club As well :) And if im not mistaken there are actually 2-3 of them with diff colors ? Shame to demolish landmarks, especially the tasteful ones I remember this building well !
