Normal delivery charges + new handling fee (KD1). I asked the delivery guy about the extra KD1 and he said this is a new fee by Aramex. I asked him if the laptop was held in customs and if Aramex had to take the trouble to clear it, he said NO! He said, LAPTOPS, MOBILES and COMPUTER ACCESSORIES are NEVER held up in customs. For everything else, there'a a 5% duty for items above $100. Did this delivery guy leak out a company secret? Received my laptop. Normal delivery charges + new handling fee (KD1).

I asked the delivery guy about the extra KD1 and he said this is a new fee by Aramex. I asked him if the laptop was held in customs and if Aramex had to take the trouble to clear it, he said NO!

The last circulation was issued in August and posted on their website on 10/8/2009, check here: http://www.customs.gov.kw/arabic/Instructions.aspx (no mention of the new price increase.) And here is their price list: http://www.customs.gov.kw/arabic/Instructions.aspx notice number 13 and 14? and at the end they confirm that that this IS the official price list and there arent` any extra charges other than those mentioned in the list. Did anyone find the new charges Aramex is talking about??
