ATM robbery in Kuwait

I can’t confirm if this actually did take place in Kuwait or not but supposedly it did. Either way its still sad to watch. [YouTube]

This is not in Kuwait as you can tell by the currency note the guy is holding at around 0:59. Kuwait’s currency notes are not that big. Most likely this happened in Pakistan, judging from the assailants and the note.

the green theme of the garbage could be al tijari or al tamweel, but both have better atm machines and a better surrounding.. its weird how the guy was cool with the gun pointed towards him … something like that happens either RUN, or FIGHT in his case, if i were in his position, i would have gone ape shit .. especially cause i’m quite young, and young people are usually riskier :P.. bas 7aram how he’s crying, thats prob all hes got !!

This is clearly not Kuwait. The currency doesn’t look like the KD and all the characters look Pakistani, plus the ATM station looks retarded for this day and age. This probably took place in Lahore.

I think that he broke down not only because he lost his money, but because it is terrifying to think that you could be killled. It isnt easy having a gun to your head… I know from personal experience.

I suggest someone tries to find out who this guy is and give him the money he needs to get back on his feet. Please stop complaining and start making a difference by taking action. This video happened in Kuwait and it is not the first time that it happens.

At exactly 0:40 you can see the bank note in the ATM machine, which is clearly no KD note since its green/dark. The darkest KD note is perhaps the 20 KD, which isn’t as wide as the note being spit out of the machine.

It actually quite looks like the the 500 Rupee note ( see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pakistani_Rupee ).

Does anyone of you guys know how these criminals come in to our country? Some people in kuwait take money from poor indian or pakistani workers to get a visa. This would be slightly fair if they could manage to get these workers any jobs. Instead they are just left roaming in the streets without any sort of income. The results are devastating.

Wherever…Kuwait, or Mars… this was messed up. To have anything taken with the potential of death or injury is just plain horrifying.
And for the person that said it was easy to take the gun when at his head…yeah right. How many times have you had a gun to your head?
Seems easy watching it, but when it happens like that, do you really think you would be thinking about taking it at that exact moment and executing it… especially with a second dude there too?

Mark, maybe you would like to confirm that God Forbid under such circumstance if ATM pin is entered in reverse order ATM processes the transaction but at the same time sends alarm to nearest police or security..does it ?

Just a quick note to everyone, if something like that happens, you type in your PIN code in reverse, meaning if its 1234, type it as 4321 and the bank security gets alerted.

My cousin is a bank employee, so I took his word for it. You make a valid point, so I guess he might be wrong.

That reverse pin number thing is baloney.

In a robbery situation it is always advisable to part with your money not your life. You can always get money back but not your life. So i think inadvertently by not resisting this guy was lucky.

If the robbers do get your card and PIN #, alert the bank immediately, when you are in a position to do so.

Anyways this doesn’t look like Kuwait at all, doesn’t mean it can’t happen here.

I hope you’re right about BoBader not providing his correct pin code. So the reverse PIN code might be true. Does anyone have a symmetrical PIN code? Banks might not allow you to have symmetrical PIN codes.

And how it works is if the bank security gets alerted, they usually wait for the robbers to get a safe distance from the victim before taking any action.

And another quick question, aren’t banks supposed to reimburse you if you were robbed? ATM’s are supposed to secured by the banks, right?!

This is not kuwait. there is no ATM in Kuwait where the actual ATM is in a room with a solid color door where no one could see what your doing. Most of the room ATM’s here use glass windows, probably specific for this reason and to prevent women getting molested. ATM’s in kuwait are safe, in the sense that if shit hits the fan, like it did in this video, everyone can see it happen.

I guess its not in kuwait Since the guy was having a helmet in his hand and i guess he seems to be a pakistani and the robbersalso dress in pakistani traditional wear so i guess it is in pakistan.. but for sure not in kuwait….
