I have read all articles put out about Eggs crisis. There are some truth and lot of misconceptions about eggs among people. Firstly most of the established Egg traders in Kuwait import eggs from India and other countrieis without bearing stamp and repack here after putting Blue color stamp on it and sell as kuwaiti fresh eggs.Genuine Egg production in Kuwait is very nominal contrary to Government claims. No farm in Kuwait feed chicken with vegetable feed 100 %. Without much ellaboration, Egg business is a big mafia game monopolised by big fishes here like Sugar. Importing brazilian and repacking under 'German' origin. I was surprised to learn some Japanese that they import Pork to Kuwait in the name of 'Chicken' !! Good bless Kuwait and it's People.

I am not assuming, my eggs were rotten and other people have had the same experience plus as Nibaq said the eggs from Indian are 4 weeks old when they arrive to Kuwait so they aren't fresh.

Mark, I read your post and the thing is you are still assuming regarding them as in Sultan selling you or their loyal customers rotten eggs. Sometimes even when an egg is fresh you'd find bad stuff like the black stuff you found inside....it doesnt mean it is rotten but something went wrong with its making....so until you get proof that the eggs were expired...to me you are still assuming :)

And also, its better not to sell customers any eggs at all instead of selling them old or rotten eggs.

Lina if you read my post you would know that I found out the eggs were rotten because when I cracked open a few eggs there was black stuff inside.

Well the way i see it..is Sultan at least tried their best to provide their clients with eggs as opposed to carrefour? empty shelves? and how did you find out that the eggs were rotten? did you ask the staff there and they told you that or you just assumed? because im sure they cant check every singe egg and break it to see if its rotten or not. Then again as i know everything is monitered closely by the government and they wouldnt have allowed the rotten indian eggs into Kuwait.

Just read a few of the crappy comments on Indian eggs: just what you would expect from myopic misinformed people. As the post makes it abundantly clear it takes more than 4 weeks to ship eggs from India and by that time even the "pristine eggs" from USA or frigid Denmark or Sweden would be rotten. And people in India are NOT accustomed to eating rotten eggs! As for India being a hotspot for bird flu, no cases have so far been reported in India and to assume that it is one of the hotbeds just because it is in Asia spanks of crass ignorance. Please take care before you dismiss an entire country with generic comments. And to think that Kuwait had a proud heritage of trade with India only to be washed away by the petro-economy, well, money does make you ignorant!

tried the Indian eggs once and they were really bad, they were probably rotten, I'll never know. I usually buy Natureland organic eggs and I think they cost about 1.850 kd for 6 eggs only. They taste really fresh and no bird poop on them that's for sure.

Holla: I switched to pork before this, will Allah still love me? :(

Arsenaliya: You do know that chickens come from eggs, right? This happens occasionally. It's not a big deal.

I use the French eggs, despite the ridiculous cost. They taste a whole hell of a lot better.
