BBS teacher sings the Bird song

Miss Ghesquiere sent me a link to this video 5 days ago of a teacher in one of the local schools singing the Bird song but I didn’t find it funny until I watched the latest Family Guy episode below. Pretty cool teacher.

This is EXACTLY what we have been warned about- students with cell phones……

  3. 4. Mark | October 8th, 2008 at 11:19 pm

I don’t think he minded, I mean you can clearly see another student holding a cellphone up recording. He’s cool with it.

  4. 5. N | October 8th, 2008 at 11:22 pm

hahaha, thats our teacher, he went out this year.
The reason why they were using there cell phones is because it was the last day.

lmao ! I’ll be singing this at work tomorrow :P

This is very appalling. I wonder was the teacher out of his head when trying to do so or was it just for kickers because if the senior admin at the school came to know about this it could be serious trouble for him.

  7. 8. Mark | October 8th, 2008 at 11:39 pm

Why is it very appalling and why would he be in trouble? He didn’t do anything wrong or offensive.

I can’t get the song out of my head… Anything a teacher does to reach his students is good!

I am just amazed how students are using mobiles freely !

It is a crime and students might get sentenced to death at the KES were my kids are !

  12. 13. Fahad | October 8th, 2008 at 11:56 pm

it isnt allowed in bbs ! but this was the last day … so they cant do anythin about it … cuz they usually take ur mobile and keep it with them and give it to u the last day :S im not sure ..

Omar, people like you disappoint me. What’s appalling is the limited, monographic mindset people like you have thinking that a teacher would get in trouble for having a sense of humor and sharing it with his/her class to enlighten a subject being taught. BTW, as “very appalling” as this teacher may seem to you, he is now a doctor and is accredited by “senior admin” as being one of the most talented teachers to have taught in the school’s history.

I am not surprised that this was an Al-Bayan teacher. As an old BBS student myself once upon a time, I am glad to say that two of the teachers who had the greatest impact on my life were those who taught me when I was a student in my many years there (Mr. Jeremy Alec Lewis and Miss Khadija Awwad).

WHen I was in in middle and high school I only enjoyed classes where the teachers was funny and active with students. Unfortunately during my 12 years in Kuwait public schools I only encountered a hand full of those. That’s why I ended up hating Arabic, geology, biology, and Islamic education classes. The teachers were uptight and so serious that you think you are being taught by robots!!
This teacher is really awesome. I there are more like him.

Dr. Dan was my teacher. He is one of the best teachers in the world. He is a hardworking guy, the first to go to school and the last to leave.
Here is his personal website http://www.fruithome.com

Throughout my journey through school Dr. Dan had such a positive impact on me. With him, I learned facts a life time of classes could not teach me. His classes were so fun yet filled with valuable information I still remember. I would never be able to thank him enough!
