My best friend is a burger

Burger Buddies

Looks like Burger King is trying to get on board the sliders train with their new offering, Burger Buddies. Was Burger Boutique the first to offer sliders in Kuwait or was there another place before?

Update: Just had it today and it wasn’t bad at all. The bun was very soft, the patty was juicy although as some people have mentioned slightly dry. My only negative would be the fact that each patty is shared among two buns which means you need to rip them apart and sometimes that results in one bun having more patty then the other. Six sliders is for KD1.300 while the combo is for KD1.750

BK in the UK, had them last christmas.

They are not bad, but they tend to have to much bun for the burger so can be a little bit to dry when eating

  19. 19. ananyah | December 16th, 2008 at 3:34 pm

I tried it today and I really enjoyed the experience. it is tasty. combination between cheeseburger and hamberger. the bun is unique and soft.
I personally liked it. thanks for letting us know about it.
    Yummiiiiiii.

I’ve had them too, at first i thought “six burgers is too much!” but i ate them all and still was hungry. but for 1.3kd that’s fair price.
the meat patties are rectangular, each two burgers share one patty, so you have to tear them before eating, and they are smaller than sliders.

What does Sliders means?? whats the meaning behind the naming? is it because its small and simply slides in your throat??

  32. 32. cajie | December 17th, 2008 at 11:17 am

I always thought that the reference to sliders was because of the tv show “Sliders”
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sliders

You eat the burger and it dissapears in another dimension (your stomach).

But you may be on to something about sliding down your throat.

Nino nino oh and Nino did it first.

  34. 34. Mr.pedro | December 17th, 2008 at 12:27 pm

lol the funny thing about this is when i called bk the dude who works there called this The Burger BADAAY not buddies its like a french word BADAAY :P

  35. 35. holla | December 17th, 2008 at 7:25 pm

They are called sliders bc they are so small and greasy, they just “slide” into your mouth and through your digestive system to make their way out of your arse. No wonder they’re big in Kuwait LMAO.

  36. 36. AAW | December 17th, 2008 at 9:12 pm

Mark you should update this post .. Nino was the first to introduce sliders…

  37. 37. Realist | December 17th, 2008 at 11:33 pm

There is a difference between Sliders and Mini Burgers…Nino was the first to bring down mini Burgers aka routinis, Burger Boutique is the first to introduce Sliders a square shaped tiny burger and expand on it. That was created back in the 20’s by White Castle.

  38. 38. Richie | December 18th, 2008 at 12:47 am

I tried them today. Theyre great. 5/5

  39. 39. Roy | December 18th, 2008 at 12:33 pm

Its not the matter who launch it first in Kuwait since it is an existing product in the US and everywhere. but I can easily say, the one I tasted in Burger King was really tasty. I’m being adicted to it.
