Cheesecake packaging is here!

New Yorker

Back in September I posted the logo Nataly designed for the Choowy Goowy New Yorker Cheesecake. Well the packages are now also finally done and printed and they’ve started delivering the cakes in them. So if you haven’t tried the New Yorker yet now is the perfect time. It’s KD11.5 for a full cake and you get to choose any crust you want, my favorite is the brownie crust.

To order a cake call them on 22620011 or 22626559.

KD 11.5/Dhs 150 is a bit much for a cake! Does it come with someone that feeds it to you?!

  3. 3. salah | December 27th, 2008 at 10:56 pm

I have to agree with Talal. Although I never tried choowy goowy, their prices seems to be higher than average. And from what I heard, it’s not that special to be costing that much.

    I love the logo.

Lorenzos cheesecake used to cost KD8 and its smaller than this. The cheesecake factory cake they are selling in Kuwait is for KD25. So KD11.5 is like decent. Sure you can get a cake from Sable for KD3 but not all cakes are equal.

    looks good!

i don’t think it’s overpriced. it can easily be cut into 12 “normal-sized” slices so that’s like 1kd per slice. compare that to cheesecakes in, say, starbucks or coffee republic or whatever where they’re a little under 2kd per slice!

Crush a packet of digestive biscuits as a base, mix a big tub of philadelphia cheese with some strawberry essence and vanilla, add some cream, put some fresh strawberries on top and you can do it yourself for 4KD………..

  41. 41. 3affar | December 30th, 2008 at 11:27 am

Mark: I have noticed as a follower to the articles u plot over here, that u r biased to anything (related) to you  alfalah detailing , wataneya airlines and now chewy gooey although the relation is not direct sometimes, And
I know I have missed a lot , in my opinion a man like you owning a well followed blog , shouldn’t be biased specially to stuff that are related to you or your company. I wonder how the article would look if it was XYZ cheese cake , and the box is designed by XYZ designer , maybe the price 11 k.d will be like a million and it taste like shit and the design is stolen , I hope u understand that am not offending you by any mean but I’m trying to help .

  42. 42. Mark | December 30th, 2008 at 11:44 am

3affar since this is my blog I do try my best to support brands I like but I don’t push things just because they are just connected to me.

If I pushed people to try the choowy goowy cheesecake and it turned out to be crap how would that effect my credibility? Badly. This is why when I push a brand its because I believe in that brand. For example the bakery Crumbs. They are connected to me in a number of ways but I’ve never posted about them here because I tried their cookies and found them terrible and over priced.

Secondly when I push brands that are connected to me I don’t hide that connection. I stated clearly above my connection to choowy goowy and with the Wataniya Airways post I clearly stated my connection. So I am not hiding it.

Now with Al Falah detailing I have no connection to them. They are not my clients and I was not invited to get my car detailed over there or anything of the sort so I don’t know where you got the idea they are related to me. Same with Wok Master and Ruby Tuesday and numerous other brands thats I’ve pushed for. If they are connected to me I will state that in my post.

    Hope that clears things up.

Mark you should take a better shot for the box , because i ordered the cake last night and the box looked much more better than the picture

  44. 44. 3affar | December 30th, 2008 at 7:01 pm

regarding alfalah detailing i think the name ANAS will ring a bell :)

  45. 45. Mark | December 30th, 2008 at 9:14 pm

…and how does that make them related to me?

  46. 46. N | January 3rd, 2009 at 3:44 pm

I love the box I just think you should take a shot of the cake. Very creative though.
