  8. 8. Phawaz | February 12th, 2009 at 2:54 am

It was kind of sudden, wasn’t it?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but did we ever have a sand storm in the middle of February?

  9. 9. nirvana | February 12th, 2009 at 3:15 am

“why collect dust and send it for testing! kuwait has always been like this!”

Because nuclear power plants haven’t always existed.

man this dust storm started at 2 in the morning in the 11th Feb. I was driving back home on the King Fahad road and visibility was like 4 metres! seriously i could barely see infront of me and most cars were driving like 60 km/h and had the flasher on. It’s been one of the dustiest days I’ve seen.

I think we all know where Fallout 4 will take place now ;D

  15. 15. Randy | February 12th, 2009 at 8:04 am

I love the dust!! The way it leaves the crunchy crust in the corners of your eyes just gives me a warm & fuzzy feeling. Makes me wanna get out the wet towels, place them at the bottom of the doors, and relax with Oprah’s book of the month!!

  16. 16. Kuwait | February 12th, 2009 at 8:21 am

    This is Kuwaiti snow.

  17. 17. TweeZ | February 12th, 2009 at 8:24 am

Stop scaring people with your “nuclear” “uranium” bullshit. Dust storms have always been there and there were worst days in the past.

  18. 18. Musaed | February 12th, 2009 at 8:54 am

We are as Kuwaities hate this dusty weather, what’s wrong when Mark says he hates it too!

People who think that Mark should leave becuase he does it like the weather. PLEASE SHUT UP.

    Mark,
take a look at this http://www.altafsayani.com/2008/07/07/artificial-rain-in-dubai

Thank GOD we only have sandstorms and not earthquakes or floods where ppl actually die from.
There is not a single place in this world with perfect weather all year long!!! So, stop complaining

  22. 22. Talloush | February 12th, 2009 at 11:17 am

There’s been a sandstorm here in Abu Dhabi, too, since last night. I’m looking out of my living room window right now, and normally I can see Marina Mall, which is like 2 km away, but today I can barely see the Corniche that’s 300 m away!

  23. 23. TweeZ | February 12th, 2009 at 12:59 pm

    @ toni
I never said that uranium caused sandstorms.

So you learn to read properly.

  24. 24. holla | February 12th, 2009 at 1:45 pm

I would rather die in a fucking earthquake than be sick for the rest of my life living in this shithole weather.
Slow torture is of course worse than a quick death and god is slowly punishing the shit out of this unholy region.

  25. 25. rad-dude81 | February 12th, 2009 at 2:37 pm

It’s snowing now in Durham. In Kuwait, you can’t see your way and in Durham you can’t walk because of the slippery roads.

  26. 26. Anonymous | February 12th, 2009 at 4:00 pm

    It’s a small world after all. (8)

  27. 27. pearls | February 12th, 2009 at 5:07 pm

Mark you should get this radiation meter … so cool

  28. 28. bo rakan | February 13th, 2009 at 12:11 am

i was chatting with one of the old folks, he said that sandstorms never showed up in febuary… after the 90’s the weather started changing
Never did it occur to you that global warming can be a cause.. i’m not a scientist here but i do think it has a hand in all of this..
    @ holla,
with all do respect i’d rather breath dust than have a freakin building fall over me, plus people that live here are starting to have good lung filtering, we’re basically adapting to the lovely weather…
but if you’d rather have a ceiling fall over you, good for you

  29. 29. Brandon | February 13th, 2009 at 10:32 am

    @Post4:

Komsomol should have t-shirts printed saying

” Hey! If you dont like kuwait GTFO ” :D !!!

  30. 30. spooner | February 14th, 2009 at 1:34 am

  31. 31. dd | February 15th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
