Dean & Deluca Avenues
I passed by Avenues for lunch and couldn’t find signs of any kind of fight that took place. What I did find was the location of the upcoming Dean & Deluca store. Its right in front of Häagen-Dazs. Interesting fact, did you know that Häagen-Dazs is actually an American brand? It’s not Scandinavian, its simply two made-up words that was meant to look Scandinavian to the American eyes. Yeah i just saw the sign at the avenues after i walked by the half closed door of napkit… i have to say it looks bigger that the little sad excuse of dean and deluca in Dubai… with its horibble brownies and bitter lemonade… hopefully their waiters will leave customers alone and not yap on their heads while they are trying to decide what to have for lunch like the ones in dubai did… each customer walking through the door had a designated waiter to walk behind him/her and give her own suggestions/explanations/inventions… offfffffff

Ah, Dean and Deluca bistro like Dubai then, not the gourmet food store. Too bad :/ Dean and Deluca NYC is beyond fabulous and amazing.

should be fab,and heard the range of products are going to from all over and they will be taking peoples suggestions for products they recommend as well as having THE best fruits in town (thats something I know for a FACT!)
the one in Dubai is not the actual fullfledged Dean and Deluca its just the cafe, the store etc should be opening by the end of the year there and should be huge as well.

Dean and Deluca is So Good! I dont know about the one in Dubai but the one near rockefeller center in NY has some delicious food!

Ee forgot to comment about Haageen Dazs…
i love the place and everything… especially the one in leisceter square london (mind the spelling plz im not british)… fa anyways… i always pronounced it Haa geeen Dazzz…
as i grew older, i was mystefied as to which scandanavian country it hailed from, how do they pronounce it over there, and what does it mean? and if i go to that country how big and delicious is it going to be?
In Germany, in a hagen dazs commercial, i got the correct pronouncation “2aageeeen Dazs” so i decided to look it up. Wonder of wonders? IT IS AMERICAN… ishwaya inba6at chabdi lel asaf especially that on the website they say no one knows why or what the exact meaning is. 3ad i HATE the americanized version of somethign umamerican i.e. American Mexican rest, American Italian Rest… or anything else in that matter… I like american american stuff only… but in case of Haagen Dazs? well they were 100% convincing… it really does taste and feel european… unlike ben and jerry’s for example…
American or not,,, i still like it

Dean & Deluca… wow. reminds me of home… overpriced, by a LONG SHOT… but sooooo damned good! bet they will have alcohol free wine. :(

In Dubai, the Bistro opened first and the shop is opening soon.
In Kuwait the shop is opening first.

So pleased when I saw this! Just moved over and the one thing that I really miss from NY! Saw this new sign up the other day too and so I asked a security guy and he said it was opening in November or December - can’t wait!
Is it definitely the store or just a cafe??

This will be great for Kuwait. Dean & Deluca are brilliant Brand and will knock spots off Carrefour and Sultan Centre. Hope it is run by a proper Management Team though as it prides itself on Customer Service in the States. Alshaya will probably have brought in Ex Pats to run it. Lets hope they are British!!!!!
