Diwaniya on Damascus Street
This video was shot earlier tonight by Ahed on Damascus Street. A diwaniya was being transported on a back of a truck when it hit the Adailiya bridge and fell off the truck onto the middle of the road. Is this the first drive-thru diwaniya? [YouTube]

So i guess so far … Main Events of 2008 here in Kuwait would be
1. Resolving The National Assembly

Common thing in Kuwait. I have seen pedestrian bridge hit by truck causing a big chunk to fell down. Here in the US they have maps and computer programs for trucking companies to make sure that they have enough bridge clearance before they use the route. I doubt that in Kuwait the MPW or Baladiya have such maps.

I saw this today live hours ago on the way home , there were some newspapers there taking pictures, like this crap is news worthy , i guess for Kuwait it is…..

what are you talking about! it is news worthy! :P not just for Kuwait, but EVERYWHERE! a mobile home hits a bridge and falls in the middle of a busy highway.. it doesn’t happen everyday! :P

Now all we need is law to be passed which says that heights of all the bridges in Kuwait should be raised to ease transportation of diwaniyas.

Well moving back onto the subject, I am extremely saddened by this story. I know some of the PAWS members and I am going to send your post to them personally Nat. I usually pick up cats and take them to either IVH or Dr. Andrew in Shuweikh but I am little weary of dogs (love them tho) otherwise I would have picked him/her up. I feel awful and I will try to my best. Can you email me the exact location of where he/she is please.

A drive through Diwaniya would be great, very time saving for the “always in a hurry” Kuwaitis, no?
