hey this is cheap compared to apple’s socks..
But they are much more expensive than they are if you buy them online. They come out to about KD4.500 online. But I guess with shipping to Kuwait it almost comes out even because I’m assuming you’d have to use an EMS courrier service to track it. But yeah, they’re cheaper than apple socks and much better. Your ipod rarely ever falls out (whereas the socks rarely ever stay on!) and they keep your ipod and/or powerbook nice and snug. Most Mac users I know in London prefer foofs to other cases.
Tim: They might be a bit expensive for two rectangular pieces of cloth, but each one is handmade. Not bad for a small online business (when I made my first order nearly a year ago there were only two of them on staff!).
Kleio – I am appropriately humbled by your response, and I am at this very minute looking for my thimble. Watch out Marina Mall… next vacant shop will be “Tim’s Very Badly Sewn iPod Holders”… i may even steal the Apple logo ;-)

If you do consider ordering direct, postage is only $3 per foofpod.
The reason prices are higher in shops (which is obvious really) is because stock has to cover the cost of packaging, bulk shipment, import duty and taxes, retail staff, rental of premises and risk. When you order direct, you usually don’t have to pay for expensive shipping or duty and there are no distribution & reseller margins.
To the shopper, it’s going to be more expense. However, the positive trade-off is you can see it and buy it immediately and obtain instant purchase gratification.
