Free condoms and tampons at Avenues
A friend of mine spotted a vending machine at one of the guy bathrooms at the Avenues offering free condoms and tampons. Tampons I can understand although its strange that its in the guys bathroom but condoms? The bathroom he found this vending machine in is on the top floor next to the first Starbucks that comes up when walking away from IKEA.

dudes and dudets this is REALY REALY REALY OLD there used t be vending machines like theese in the avenues mall back in 06 when it frist open’d up i dared my friends to do it for 6 kd but they are to shy LMAO

They’re in more than one bathroom. I think the tampons are because originally, the restroom was supposed to be for women…but then they didn’t want to put a mens bathroom next to a womens bathroom…so that’s y u have 2 mens bathroom right next to each other. But the other thing..r u sure they’re condoms?

I’ve seen these a looong time ago. Ever since the Avenues opened, some Bathrooms had these dispensers. But nothing is ever inside them. I’m not really sure why they put them there.

I’ve seen that at the Avenues a few months back. I knew that they had the tampons in the male’s toilet, but was curious about the other one. Actually, I thought I was in an ex-female’s toilet, so condoms was the last thing in my mind.

That round sign is NOT for condoms, it is the universal sign for ‘female’ and it is used here for sanitary pads. Which would make sense with the tampons.

It says “tampon” and “condom” under the corresponding pix, but they don’t show up in the photo bc they are written in grey. This whole machine is meant for the women’s toilet only i believe. but since this is kuwait i guess they figured the men would use the tampons more than the women hehehe.

My guess for the condoms and kotex to be in the men’s room is because there are times when a man might want a quickie… tampon and kotex= less mess…? I suppose it could be a hint?

Actually, they need to put up condom vending machines at the airport, cinemas, malls, universities and on all flights to Dubai, Bahrain and Thailand. Public service ads on radio, TV and in the print media encouraging safe sex practice is currently de rigueur for Kuwait.

Um.. That is not a condom dispenser.. It’s a pad and the other is indeed a tampon. Get your mind out of the gutter. Sheesh. Plus I think a condom dispenser would make more sense than a tampon dispenser in a mens room;p

The reason the machine’s empty right now is because demand has outstripped supply, so it would seem. As a matter of fact every mall and public utility should provide for quick and easy access to condoms, tampons and nicotine patches not just the Avenues. Moving things up a notch a safe needle exchange program managed through the information kiosks at malls would be a brilliant idea. Like they say, if you can’t beat’em, join ‘em.

Condoms are fun provided you are taught how to wear one correctly in school. I have often wondered why no progressive airline won’t do condoms and diaphragms in their in-flight amenities kit. There is ample reason for Emirates and Qantas to discreetly start dispensing condoms to couples in first class cabins on board the A380s.

Oddly enough, any entry on condoms or condom vending machine usually gets people’s attention for all the wrong reasons. Today more than ever when people in some parts of the world continue to procreate like wild bunnies there is reason to encourage more married couples to use the condom more often.

However, it has got many a mall developers in the region and beyond, looking to provide all this “convenience stuff,” and more in their powder and cloak rooms. Little tooth brushing devices and dental floss are already to be seen in rest-rooms in picture halls and malls.

Well am happy we’ve got such machines in our malls, its a sign of civilization , seriously we need em there, thousand timz i’ve been stopped at the WC by an embaressed lady or girl asking for a pad !
Bravo who ever provided em , and if i can suggest I would ask them to provide mostly pads NOT tampons cuz virgins cannot use it ..

I have been going 2 the avenues ever since the moment it oppened…..
the venders were ALWAYS empty…& u dont have 2 actually pay anything 2 get them… u just have to pull/push the lever (IT SAYS FREE)….& nothing comes out…
never had ANYTHING in them except dust….
maybe they just came with the toilets accessories, set or design…
