I was at Avenues two nights back and spotted a girl wearing a Free Kuwait sweatshirt and since then I’ve had the Nabil Sheal song stuck in my head. So I thought I would look for it on YouTube when I accidenty found the videos above and below. I don’t remember ever hearing them before and the one below has a guy that looks like Borat singing. There is this one very very old song for Nabeel Sh3ail from the 1980′s … maybe 1985… he sang it for the handicaps o it was really beautiful but for some reason it is the only one you can never find anywhere… la online wala off line… it goes like this

Nabil sang another song during the occupation that was soooo powerful/so emotional and I still can’t find the song.
I have seen a few of the “Free Kuwait” t-shirts being worn around lately. I wonder if it is a new political statement.
Amer Al-Hilal did a short video montage of Kuwait during the occupation set to metal music in the background. I wonder if he has uploaded a copy anywhere (?). It was excellent.

As for the Free Kuwait shirts, a couple of young Kuwaiti designers have been re-designing these t-shirts and selling them.. But I can’t remember who exactly. If anyone can remember, I’d be grateful if you post the name..
