Good Morning
I am back to work today. Turns out I had food poisoning and thats why I was sick. Only thing I had eaten though on Friday was Fried Calamari and Fish Promodoro from Johnny Carinos and it was amazing. So its hard to imagine food so good put me in a 12 hour puke fest. Anything I drank or ate I puked from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon. Finally Saturday evening I decided to go eat something I knew my body could handle naturally, McDonalds. I went and had a Quarter Pounder Combo with an extra Cheese Burger sandwich and it was really good. Yesterday I also noticed I had red dots on my face around my eyes area, as if I got an allergie from the fish or something, today they are practically all gone so thats good. Now I am back in the office and I am feeling completely normal, I don’t think anyone in the office will believe I was sick yesterday, I think they will all think I just took an extra day off from work since I was enjoying my long weekend. Anyway thanks for the get well soon comments below, now I got to catch up on 3 days of Internet.

Welcome back to normality Mark,
To be safe from now one, beware of some restaurants in Kuwait, food poisoning is a sort of a symptom when you eat at some of them.
This is a short list, I hope it will be of good:
Eat with caution at:
Hardee’s, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, TGIF, Applebee’s & Johnny Carino’s.
I don’t recommend ‘boycotting’ them, since I still visit some of those places every now and then, but EAT WITH CAUTION & be extremely picky. I had bad experiences with them.
Never eat from Ruby Tuesday:
After three bad experiences there, I boycotted this Junky place.
McDonald’s & Starbucks are good options.

Just a little comment on iDip’s…
I eat at Ruby Tuesday’s maybe twice a month and I don’t think there is anything wrong with their food.

salamat marks hope it doesn’t happen to you ever again, i remember just having food poisoning twice in my life and hopefully never ever again cause it was REALLY a bad thing to experience :|
yeah iDip is kinda right.., i *NEVER* eat at either hardee’s nor KFC cause ALL BRANCHES SUCK with careless workers who have big issues wit the production company, mostly egys and hindis work there and if they’re not treated fairly it shows on them so that means a big no no whenever you’re hungry and looking for something to eat outside.
burger king, mcdonalds and my latest craze subway n that’s about it for me, idip is right about burger king but i kinda think that only some of them are whack.
and another tip is always check if philipinos are the majority of staff whenever you drop in a fast food restaurant here in kuwait.

I never got food poisoning from BK but I have had issues with their food. I trust McDonalds the most from all restaurants in Kuwait. They just are cleaner and more proffesional then other places.
I have heard a lot of war stories about Ruby Tuesday, seems many people have problems with their food.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get food poisoned? Thing is I had johnny carinos for lunch but I got sick in the evening. Does that seem right or should i have gotten sick right away?

It usually takes 8 to 72 hours for symptoms of the illness to occur.

Trust me its Carino, I have heard many others complaining, especially after seafood dishes. You should make a big fuss about it as you usually do with other issues.

Hardee’s , KFC all depend on location
and also something else to notice , some peolple can handle food easier than others , one time in saudi arabia the family ate from one resturant , i had gas and had to go to the bathroom 7-9 times but next day i was fine , my sister was sick for 3 days

NEVER EAT FROM HARDEE’S MARINA MALL! and as Mark said: McDonalds! the best thing to eat in kuwait.. i got poisoned from KFC once.. diharoorea all the day!
