GulfRun 4 on Watan TV
I missed out on GulfRun this year but from what I’ve heard it was even more fun than last years. Lots of action and I am just waiting for everyone to start posting their pictures. Tonight at 11PM Watan TV is actually going to broadcast GulfRun 4 so if you want to check it out just tune in.

Update2: Its 11:12PM and it still hasn’t started, there is another show on so I guess the timing I got was wrong.

I saw two cars from the GulfRun in my University .. Porsche and Nissan Z.
waiting to see the whole cars from Al Watan TV ..

Boring photos..no sliding rears, no counter steer, no smoking tires…hope the video is interesting.

The video hopefully will be more interesting.. there was a lot more going on then those pictures protary.. and there were multiple events going on so these aren’t all the photos.. counter steering was all most of us were doing and learning.. some sliding rears but we tried to keep it to a minimum to get good times on the track!

DJ_Will.. there were some guys that shattered records on the the track.. they were on par with their top drivers of Bahrain’s International Circuit.. it was a site to see and I for one learned from some of these drivers.. Those who went to watch learned who were the aggressive and talented drivers!

when’s the next one ..? and how can u get on ? and is there a limit to what car u can get (horsepower) sports/gran turismo/4 door ?
btw Marzouq.. records in certain cars? because there is a wide variety of cars as i can see.. so how could they have shattered any records? unless the porsches overpopulate bahrain as well!

i think they are gonna put it in a small part of the show thats on now, so this talkshow will talk about the gulf run and then they’ll put the video i guess.

It’s a great event with a great potential for a regional competition and should draw a big crowd in the future.

Just watched Al Watan, i guess the airtime is very expensive..the way they edited the video is crapy..am sure they had much better footage then what they just aired.
To be fare the only good parts are the drifting Z and the white Evo ;-)
I guess next time you should take your own cameramen to document the event.

dj_Will.. Its not about the car its about the driver.. I have a car which physically should not be able to beat a Porsche 997 Turbo in many areas but I did.. then there were the Noble M400s which set a couple of records on the track.. some of these drivers have come on the track day many times!
Adrenaline this is the PG version.. I’m happy they aired this and not everything that was going on.. we want the general public to enjoy this.. there are a couple of videos which are being edited to make for a very cool video.. I don’t know when that will be uploaded!

my money would have been on the scuderia, nissan gtr, noble, or the porsche gt3 rs… as long as they would have been driven by the same person offcourse !!

Any car can join .. you don’t have to have an exotic to participate. The driver was quite good, he managed to get faster lap times than a Viper, GT3 and S2000.
