btw…there is a destinctive smell about this place. I smell too in the morning especially. If we are thinking about the same smell….then that can’t be a good thing, I guess.

You guys, what the hell ??
there are some bad things about kuwait but come on most people are better off living here than anywhere else, juwat like Mooocherx said its not like were in afghanistan. What i mean is you should thank god your better off than most people. A million people are wishing they were in your place.. Be positive and optimistic, dont just complain about everything, instead try to make it better..

Don’t feel bad boys and girls. In England, everyone complains about England. They did a survey 2 years ago, and more than 50% of the population said they’d emigrate if they thought they could.
Bitching about where you are is part of life. Some things drive me maaaaaad about Kuwait, but at the end of the day I get paid way too much to care. I live in Thailand, and trust me – there’s a million things to bitch about there too. But it’s still the best country I’ve ever lived in.
A while back I did a post about the best things about Kuwait… There are some. OK, not many, but it’s a small country so what do you expect. Of course there’s not going to be any broadway shows or cut-price latest technology. Or manners.
But come on… it’s not like we’re in Afghanistan filling water bottles from a pipe in the street.
There’s no place like home, but the grass always looks greener on the other side (or for Kuwait, the sand always looks less litter-strewn…)

I agree with Toxy…my Friend Always bitch about the way things in kuwait ” am not suppose to live here…this country is shit…all kuwaiti in work with me are assholes ” and the list goes on…He is kuwaitie btw, and once tried to get a Canadian citizenship but he Faild !

When i set or go out with him…i really get depressed because he is FULL of negative Energy. i mean i don’t want some one to tell me life is Pink and everything is alright !

if you want to change things…start by yourself first, stay positive , Respect others and let them respect you .

Michael, I’m not saying that you don’t make valid points – because you do.

Don’t you think I bitch and moan about the ridiculous ‘electrical’ situation and the fact that we donated $800 million to Lebanon whilst our own Kuwaiti residents are left to die because no one can be fecked to answer 777?

But, there is a difference between vindictive personal attacks and criticizing general lifestyle activities.

There are times when I can’t stand Kuwait (and yes, I’m Kuwaiti) and others when I love it. I believe that we are only about 5-10 years away from being a darn good country to live in (assuming they eliminate those backward thinking extremisits). There are too many reasons why I believe this, perhaps we should take it to the forums?

well said mike. i’ve lived and worked in the US and i would say the GTFO mentality is just as bad or even worse.
if everybody was satisfied with the way things are in the world , no change would ever come about.
