Just a wild guess, but it’s probably a military amphibous assault vessel. No joy rides on this baby.

Being an assault transport vessel, it is usually used by an attacking force such as the Marines. Its main task is to move personnel in and out of a beach FAST. Notice how quickly it landed and then reversed course into the sea. That’s what it’s used for, a quick assault on a beach. The odd thing is: what was it doing on a beach in what looks like a civilian “Chalet” area?
At any rate, this is not the latest hardware in this field. Check out these beasts.

Didnt they have one going to Failaka, before the invasion…
They have them at the Kuwait Naval Base. This might have been taken right around the area in Julai’a. Sailors gone wild…
me and my friends built one when we were studying in KUNIV. :). was much smaller ofc. (1 seat).

I’ve been on the one that went to Failaka Island pre invasion.
This is not civilian hovercraft… and I didn’t know that our coastguard had hovercrafts.
coastguard have one ,,,, army ,, and sea firemen
Nice… I always like hovercrafts, not only as assault vessels but also for evacuating people and transporting relief goods on flood stricken areas… =)
There are two hover crafts at nadi al ba7ri sea club in ras salmiya, the owners never seem to use them but there’s always a philipino driving them round

I remember seeing one on the pavement in south surra, covered in a sheet, dusty and rusty… but you can tell its a hovercraft from the huge fan at the back, that was the only thing that wasnt covered

It looks like a military hovercraft which area is this anyway? I know that a commertial hovercraft operates between shuwaikh harbar to Abadan in Iran
It belongs to the Kuwait Coast Gaurd! Why they have one and not the Navy I have no idea! The funny thing is, is that you can barely fit a car in its holding bay, its so small. What was also funny when I saw it on the beach landing ramp on Kuwaiit Navy Base, it was inflated with the fans running and a ladder behind it! I bet one those genius’ there stood up on the ladder when started it up!
you can not get a ride coz this hovercraft is belong to kuwait coast gard and they have just get it and the crew are stell under training .

I’ve seen one in Blajat street 2 years ago and I never thought we had them here in Kuwait either, but it wasn’t that big, it was small and I guess only one can ride it, like the ones for racings

Drive on the AL-RAI STREET from 4th ring ROAD to the Avenues roundabout and on your right handside you can see one WHITE HOVERCRAFT ON display…..

The district looks like Bnaider, and if I was driving a cool toy like this one, why not go up and down the beach?
