I found edamame

soyabean

After reading the replies to my edamame post I managed to find edamame at Sultan Center. They were located in the frozen vegetables section and the packet has Japanese writing all over it and costs KD1.695 for a 400g bag. Hopefully I will figure out how long to boil them, the instructions on the back are all in Japanese!

depends on the way you like it.

try bringing the water to a boil first and then boil them for 3-4 minutes and try one, its gonna be crunchy a bit

if you want it softer then go for 6-8 minutes

My ideal boiling time for edamame is 7 minutes.

  3. Mark: i’s so easy to cook it,,,

    hello all,
inorder not to lose the benifits inside the edamame, its better to steam them for few minutes or until you try one of them after few minutes and see if its tender and ready to eat. for spicy taste, i recommend to add japanese chili oil with some soy sauce or spicy mayonnaise and you can find these items in “meli melo” in shaab al bahri near low fat
